The point is a rider eligibile for the white jersey classification must be born in 1987 and onwards. So, Kruijswijk, Tejay, Taaramae and... |

I can't look past Taaramäe for the white jersey - the only person who beat him last year is not eligible this time and the route suits Taaramäe much more this time as well.
He is certainly the favourite for white especially with so many TT kilometres, but he tends to fail often also and struggle with ilnesses.

He has done the Giro so I think he won't be in good shape

Poels is also eligible for the white jersey. Could be a dark horse, though his TT is not that good.
Edit: And what about Pinot, Geniez?

Sanchez should abandon to be 100% at his real objectives this season.

Geniez makes a chance, indeed.
Not for Young, but I'm curious to see what Rolland has to offer, he's not a bad climber! |

I hope that Taaramae does well. He's had bad luck with illness this year, so I hope that he can bounce back and show what he can do. |

He could really surprise, I think.
I hope he's recovered all right. |

a 14th place in the prolouge in Luxembourg. Not the most prestigious race, but his TT has defenatly improved since last year. Im expecting a top 15 from him, maybe top 10 is even possible |

That prologue is not best indicator at all as it includes quite steep climb early on which suits puncheurs more

He was doing good at Vuleta last year but faded later on so his recovery is questionable. 100km of TT won't help him. Would be very surprised to see him in Top 10. Top 15 is achievable though.

Maybe a stage win, too. |

2nd place at Angliru?
the only reason he ended so low in last years vuelta GC is that he wasted to much time in the first week |

Actually, it was because he popped on the stage to Bilbao and lost seven minutes. If it wasn't for that, he'd have been in the Top 10 overall for sure.

Indeed. Angrilu was stage 15 so not quite close to end of Vuelta as well
It was strange 'pop' as he looked good until that stage. Still has to be pointed to his recovery.

So did Evans' win taught us anything today about TDF?
It shows he's not too old yet, anyway, and that he can still count on a great pair of legs.
I like seeing him more assertively

I think it's obvious that Evans is by far the biggest favourite for the Tour. Much more solid and proven rider on Hilly and Mountain Terrain than Wiggo. Plus Wiggo's yet to prove he's got a decent TT after 19 tough stages.
Evans is favourite by big margin, then followed by Gesink and Wiggins. Then come likes of Samu, Nibali. Menchov and Andy.
