It's a shame, though. It would've been interesting to see if he would still be able to sprint as fast as in his top years. But if not, I don't see a reason for him participating anyway, it would only block Ciolek's chances.

Yea, his sprint stat remain the same then We'll be interesting to see what Ciolek does, and wonder if they will try any kind of leadout for him.

And i dont believe in Ciolek much, i hope they will rather focus on Velits and Leipheimer GC chances.

I know, that's why the smiley face at front of my post before I wrote anything
Yea they should. Martin also has a chance to get Yellow for a lot ( about 10 days ) if he focuses on it in early part of Tour too. Velits will be interesting to see, except Oman I didn't see him at all this year.

Yeah, he was not racing lot, now he is in California and should do well, if Leipheimer is not 100% fit. I am also lookin gto see him at Tour, finally without need to work his ass of for Cavendish despite being GC leader (that happened last year + someone thought Martin is a climber which is not). If he will prepare right, he could fight for late top 10 maybe.

3 missed tests leaves more room for doubts than a positive, whatsoever.
Still, when you have a guy coming almost out of nowhere and ending up on Paris-Roubaix podium, you can have some reasonable doubts about his performance.
Now, I don't know him, I can't say if it's the right punishment for a cheater, or just a guy with no brain. Anyway, the rule is the same for everyone (or it should be), so he rightfully deserves a two years ban.
That can't hide the fact that the French pro peloton is very corticoids-friendly these days, even though we have no clue whether Turgot is on it or not.
You miss 3 tests, you face the punishment stated in the rules.
I don't care so much about the doubt, but I agree with Aquarius. You finish 3rd on Roubaix, without huge results before and having missed 3 dope tests. It sounds quite fishy.
Well, that was my contribution on this issue, rubbish I know.

I think Bruyneel is pissed at them for planning their usual "both on the podium in the Tour" tactic. That's why he doesn't want Kim Andersen at the Tour as well. Now he's trying to prevent that.
Would absolutely laugh if Bruyneel didn't select Frank for the Tour. Andy would be so mad.
For the first time I remember, I actually like what Bruyneel is doing.

can see them forming ANOTHER breakaway team if JB doesn't select Frank for the tour
