Well, I did say that Rujano was not out of it.....
I suppose Pozzo was due a sub-par performance. Time for him to put some time into Alarcon on this next hilly stage.
Valverde has been quite so far, but looks to me like he's going to win this race. |

Don't be, it is just incredible how the AI seems to target the same riders after they have suffered one accident already - in the same race! There are so many examples in this season, but to get a puncture in such a vital time is just incredible frustrating.
I hope the new game will be more about the racing, and not who is the luckiest on a bike - Then they should at least make a new ability named "Bike handling" or "Luck factor"

Well, D2 is invisible. But the field is really too strong here and the terrain too hard. But not yet halfway so more chances to come.

Aargh, why does Caruso have to sit that far back on every narrow section? His sucky positioning has costed him quite a bit of time by now.

I don't get the AI here..
At the 2nd stage de la Fuente very much behind and Schwab at the front
At the 3rd stage de la Fuente at the front and Schwab with a very very weak day instead of the trio Lloret/de la Fuente/Schwab getting at the front
At least Lloret is very consistent and in the Top 5 but I thought at least De la Fuente could be at the Top 10

Annoying to have two strong guys in the breakaway, and I can understand they didn't work but then VDB should had moved a lot earlier!!
Top 5 should be plausible, but god damn this race is turning out to be another "beace" if not more frustrating.

Yeah, it's pretty annoying. The field might be too strong for them, but they should at least be trying to get into a freakin' breakaway.

I know that Lövkvist isn´t one of the big guns here but COME ON!?
Losing almost 4 mins on the first "easy stage" then 9 mins on stage 3, I´m just disappointed.
Let´s work for Eltink now! |

If Grossglockner was disappointing for Alarcon, this stage was definitely a success. The yellow jersey definitely helps him position himself a lot better, and it was great, and quite unexpected, to see him follow Valverde and Pozzovivo. It's starting to look good for a top 5 overall now, but for a podium, he will need to gap both Rujano and Lloret with more than the advantage he has now. |

Großglockner will come in next stage, it was Kitzbüheler Horn, I guess. Anyway, I´m disappointed that Rujano couldn´t follow as Alarcon did, TOP5 looks "safe" (if another stupid split or crash won´t come) though.

This is really strange, in Guatemala they were almost in every breakaway, what are the fighter stats of D2riders in the race?
This PCM is really annoying with its randomness in positioning the leaders, i feel sorry for their managers.

Suppose should be pleased that Pozzovivo is having a pretty anonynmous race but is up to 3rd.

Will try to make the 4th today.
Then there won`t be a report until Monday unfortunately.
Due to some family stuff I won`t be at home then. Sorry for that. |

If I manage to slip in top 10, as it is now, I'm going to be satisfied.

Rujano almost invisible, sprinter Guillen injured...I had much higher expectations from this and upcoming stages.

A really good performance by Jurgen though it's hard to forget that stupid puncture - he would had been in a position to challenge for the overall win but this is at least better than nothing!

Actually a good stage for me because Devenyns has a good chance to get the KoM now if he´ll get into the breakaway(s).
