@ Teddy- Thanks a lot Teddy! Wink

@ tsmoha- Sure, I'll download it now. I've only played the first two of San Luis Pfft Thanks!

@ Pelli- Wow, thanks a lot! I wasn't expecting such great compliments about my screens. Pfft My settings aren't even maxed in all areas Pfft Hopefully he can hold on.

@ dienblad- Thanks a lot Pfft First win since I started PCM 11 I think.

@ Freitas- Very true. Caruso was the second favourite, and pretty much the remainder of my team was scattered in the race favourites in the loading screen.

Alakagom- Extreme already Sad Thanks a lot.

@ olabj- Thanks a lot. I'll need it.

@ Chriller- I think its 300,000 something. I seems to be going up though. Better be, it seems a little lower than recommended last year.

@ sutty- Thank you, I just saw the gap expanding and luckily I found the right tempo to set him at right away.

@ fccancellara- Thanks a lot! Probably wont see sucj good results in the TDU.

The route will take the riders in and around Adelaide at all times. The first stage is the farthest North, but after that, the stages are all over the map. around Adelaide. There is no constant progresseion south, but if you like Adelaide, then I'm sure you wont mind! The route goes through great scenery and for the first time, Willunga Hill is the finish for Stage 5, which will give hilly riders an even better chance at victory than ever before.

Our team has one leader and top sprinter and many team mates that can help our two leaders achieve their goals, and bring the team success. We have Florencio who will be our team leader and will be the one we work for on Stage 5 to Willunga Hill. The other stages we will have one rider look after him, and the rest take care of Freire as we try to have successful sprint finishes on each stage. I feel our squad is strong enough to compete in the sprint as Ignatiev will be the ultimate lead-out man but on the hills Florencio may not be strong enough to compete with the leaders of other teams.

The startlist isn't exactly filled with riders to compete for the GC so Florencio or Freire may actually have a shot at winning the overall! That said there are many other riders with a good shot too, like Michael Matthews or Ballan.

For the sprints however, there are quite a few strong riders here. The biggest is of course Mark Cavendish and his elite leadout of Ben Swift and Sutton. Tyler Farrar and Feillu are also here, and could very well challenge Cavendish in the flatter sprint stages like Stage 1 for example. Then there are the outside favourites like Bennati, Steegmans, Oss, Matthews and Davis. These riders could also steal a win or two, but I dont expect any of them to dominate the race in any way.

No doubt the racing will be fast and exciting, and if you love sprints this is the race for you! Not only that but the weather is fantastic, and sunny, although probably too hot. And the landscape is great! Just gotta watch out for the kangaroo's crossing.

but if you like Adelaide, then I'm sure you wont mind!

Mate, no one likes Adelaide. Pfft

Wow, compared to my TDU, that startlist is crap! In mine I had tons of climbers. Good for Freire then I guess. Stage 5 is a 3km uphill sprint, and he usually performs well on it. Good luck!

Haha.

Yeah my start list really sucks for some reason.
Freire has a good chance of doing something for me. Next stage up soon too!

The stage is the first big sprint stage of the year! Cav is the obvious favourite for the win, but with the small hill 20km from the line, it could be enough to drain a bit of energy out of Cav. Hopefully we get a sprint though, thats what everyone wants.

Race Report

i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad25/kesler1234/tdu1-3-1.jpg

The stage starts up like most, with a large breakaway getting clear. Surprisingly there's no one too big in the group, so they are allowed to get a pretty big gap.

i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad25/kesler1234/tdu1-4-1.jpg

Later in the race, the breakaway has really split up and only a few riders are clear of the peloton now. Still they wont stay clear for much longer as Sky and Garmin are racing hard now, for the sprint.

i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad25/kesler1234/tdu1-5-1.jpg

The sprint stars, and Sky have clear control with Swift leading out Cav perfectly for the win, but maybe Katusha or Garmin can come back with Haussler, Farrar or Freire.

i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad25/kesler1234/tdu1-6-1.jpg

But Cav is clearly too fast, and gets his first win of the season! What a win by him, and by quite a big margin too! Freire gets a Top 10, but he'll be wanting a better result next stage.

6th is a good result I think.

Sky start their sprint domination early. Pfft Good sixth with Freire, I'm sure he can do better later in the race, probrably in Willunga, or in Stirling. Smile

That's Sky-domination....Anyway, 6th is a pretty decent start of the season, expect more from Freire in the more hilly stages.

Thanks all!

I had played Stage 3 of San Luis and finished 2nd, but I also worked on my race planner with the Season Planner so I guess it didn't save that result because I started before the race and finished after, so I will play it again.

Still worth it to have the races planned out for the whole year. Pretty excited.

Buena Esperanza - Villa Mercedes
i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad25/kesler1234/sanluis3-1.jpg

The stage will be quite flat, so I expect a sprint finish with probably Kittel or Van Dijk being the winner. I'm hoping Paolini can be up there, although I'm not sure.

Race Report

Note: Something went wrong and most pics I took have the startlist picture (when you hit spacebar) appearing even though it wasn't like that when I took the screen in PCM.)

i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad25/kesler1234/sanluis3-2.jpg

The peloton pushes up the pace, late in the race to try and bring back the stragglers of the breakaway. It wont be easy, but it must be done in order for the sprinters to get the finish they all want, and that would be Kittel mostly. But the early breakaway that had formed before was eventually brought back, so we all switched focus onto the sprinters.

i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad25/kesler1234/sanluis3-3.jpg

But the sprint ends in a Manan victoy, as Kittel just started his sprint a second too late! He just beat Van Dijk in the final 5 metres or so, and was oh so close to beating Manan as well with his insane finishing speed. Paolini had a poor lead out so his result wasn't too good.
