I'd be happy if the tournament plans out like that Cunego
Only thing I predict is a fail from English team and another embarrassment

Cunego's bid is in term of strength the most realistic (probably) but these tournaments always have surprises, and disappointments.

I hope England fail too Its the same every time they get to a finals, the press big them up like they are so unbeatable and then they go out with a whimper |

ruben sounds like a really really angry citizen of the Netherlands! Lol trust me Ruben I know the feeling, whenever I fill out my bracket for the World Cup I always make sure that America loses every game and gets eliminated from group play! haha. Have faith, Robben will be very upset after the Champions League Final and will bring some much needed enthusiasm to that team. Watch the Netherlands as a surprise team to make a run at the finals. |

The thing is, under Van Marwijk the Netherlands have almost constantly played terrible football, but won most of their matches.
However recently, past 1 year, we not only play terrible, but lose too.
You can say much about Van Basten as a (failing) coach, but at least we played nice football under him |

Meh, we beat Portugal, we're satisfied.
Besides, it would be unfair towards the other nations to have to play against us, we stayed home out of sympathy
But you didn't win the second game when a we had a decent coach...

No offence to the dutchies but robben is shit. He is by far the most overrated player in the world. Does Elia play? He seems to be talented.
Germany will win it all.
Pozzato sucks!

the most overrated players in the world have Belgium nationality. Because your press and fans hype them up as the best Belgium generation for years now and still fail to qualify for nay tournament
But after that Robben is a close second yeah |

Here's my predictions for what I think will be a great tournament:
Group A:
1. Czech Republic
2. Russia
3. Greece
4. Poland
I can see this being a group where goals will be hard to come by. I think Cech will show his quality here to pull Czech Republic through with a few 1-0 wins. I can also see Russia attacking and pulling through in second after good results against Greece and Poland. I think Poland will be largely disappointing and leave the tournament with a measly 1 point.
Group B:
1. Portugal
2. Netherlands
3. Germany
4. Denmark
I think Denmark will be out of their depth in this group and face their fair share of thrashings. It'll be close but I think Portugal will surprise and win the group and Netherlands will go through on goal difference. I can't wait for this group and I expect to see a few goals.
Group C:
1. Croatia
2. Spain
3. Italy
4. Ireland
I can't see Ireland pulling any trees in this group and they'll finish pointless. Italy and Spain will both be disappointing and lose to Croatia but Spain will scrape through. Croatia are going to one of the teams to beat in this tournament and I can see them going a long way.
Group D:
1. England
2. France
3. Sweden
4. Ukraine
I'm going to be optimistic this year and say England will win the group without any majorly exciting football. Ukraine will be largely poor and also finish with a very small amount of points, if any. France will pull through in second but again they will not gel as a team and fail to impress.
Quarter Finals:
Czech Republic v Netherlands
Netherlands will be too good for Czech Republic in this game and they will concede a few and will struggle to score at the other end. This will end 2 or 3 nil to Netherlands.
Portugal v Russia
Portugal will scrape through in a game that will give us a fair few goals I think this game could go all the way to extra time and even penalties.
Croatia v France
I can see Croatia being too good for France and can see them passing the ball around France and putting the ball past the keeper more than once.
England v Spain
England will retain their solid fashion from the group stage and will prevent Spain from getting any shots in and will score a couple on the break.
Semi Finals:
Netherlands v Croatia
Croatia will exploit a Netherlands side that will be lucky to get to this stage in the competition with good all-round play. I can see Netherlands creating a similar amount of chances but I think Croatia will be more clinical.
Portugal v England
England will remain solid and attack on the break but Ronaldo and Nani's quality will shine through to take it to penalties where it will be anyone's guess for who wins. I think this will be the game of the tournament and I'm going to say England to win but here I have my doubts.
Final:
Croatia v England
Your guess is as good as mine here, I can see both teams being defensive and it'll take a goal to liven things up but after that it'll be an interesting final. As I'm English I'll say England but it'll definitely be tough. |

Every single major competition since I was a kid, Portugal comes into it having played horrendously bad in qualifying and preparation.
And then they only get good results in the group stage when they play in a very strong group because they have nothing to lose.
The group is strong, so they might actually do something, who knows. Kinda like that group in 2000 with Germany, England and Romania......then again we don't have Superman Conceição anymore, so the impossible is no longer possible.
God I miss that guy. Amazing heart and such talent rolled into one.

Geezar10, are you insane? Portugal have been really poor lately, and will struggle to make it out of their group. Croatia, better than Spain, France and the Netherlands? ENGLAND, BEATING SPAIN? YOUR SEMI-FINALS ARE CRAZY! |
