Rui Costa is just far too strong. He has come from 2'18 behind after stage 2 to lead by 1'10 on stage 6! he has destroyed all of us!

Following the crash on the run in to the finish in Willunga, 4 riders have been forced to withdraw from the Santos Tour Down Under through injury. Theo Bos and Michael Mørkøv will both be out until the end of February/start of March with a broken wrist and a fractured coccyx, whilst Roger Kluge suffered a fractured hip and will be out until mid March.
The worst casualty of the crash was Joost Posthuma. He broke his collarbone in the fall, and will be out of action until mid April.
In addition to this, Fredrik Kessiakoff fell heavily on a routine Pre-Season training ride in Sicily this morning. Early reports show he has suffered a broken collarbone, and has set the start of April as his return date.
