There is as far as I know not a lot of open places on the route. Most of it is inside an urban area with a wee bit of forest as well. But there is a possibility of wind, but I think the surroundings might take the top of the wind.

On such a flat course, as much as you try to make the race hard, a bunch sprint in 99% assured. The only chance to avoid it is that a breakaway somehow makes it to the finish if the chase isn't well organized, and it won't happen.
An interesting thing, however, may be the wind. Never been to Copenhaguen, but due to its location I assume it should be a windy place? A bit of crosswinds would be appreciated.
Yes. Denmark is very windy, but I don't think the route will allow very big gaps caused by the wind, bacause the course doesn't get to the most open places. But still I expect a hard race, and for the sake of the race, some rain would be good (but that's kinda crappy for my own sake, becuase i'm going to copenhagen to see the race )

With that little hill close to the finish, I see the organised bunch losing its nerves when Gilbert or a like of him will attack in the last lap. Even though many riders should finish with the same time, I'd say sprinters who can deal with small hills stand a chance to win this. Bettini would have been one, or Freire a couple of years ago (maybe even this year, who knows ?). I can't really see Cavendish, Greipel or Kittel making it this year. |

My feeling is that Gilbert is going to win this one. And I think he is a rider that deserves that recognition |

Canada announced there roster today. Tuft, Veilluex and Rollin will ride the RR with Barry in reserve. Svein Tuft will ride the TT. Not a bad squad, but a top ten could be a reachable goal. All three of them can sprint well.

Don't be ridiculous.
Mizbani will drop everyone on the climbs

Technically it would be their, as it is not at the beginning of the sentence , but I see your point. I just use one and hope to get it right. 50/50 odds.

Give they're some love. 1/3 chance
My thoughts: Rollin might surprise a lot of people, Veilleux and Tuft are the "workhorses". And all three are fairly decent hilly riders so I'd say good selections.

Despite beeing selected, Andy Schleck won't participate to the Worlds and won't even be replaced. |

Oh yeah, would be great to see Lars Boom in the rainbow jersey. He's in a great form, and thereby is an outsider. He can handle those little hills, and when he gets away with a group, he can outsprint almost everyone (well no EBH or Sagan). Holland needs a new World champ, it's about 30 years ago!

Tweet from David Millar:
TT course not so pleasant, 2x23km laps, resembles a Belgium kermesse. Tony Martin put it perfectly, 'I think I do not like this course.'
Looks like the TT course is in Cancellara's advantage then. |

So the U23 TT is on now right?
Quaade as one of the favorites. Who else do you fancy? I have some eastern european dude for the podium, but don't know who.

Durbridge is the favourite to win, in my opinion

I think it will be between Durbridge and Hepburn, with Durbridge as the biggest favourite. Then Quaade and others have to fight for the bronze medal. |

yeah, Durbridge vs Hepburn, although Vorbev has put in a very strong time currently and is leading by almost a minute

I have really high hopes in Jakub Novak, he had some really nice perfomances in TTs this year - for example he won an ITT of Giro Baby.
But in overall, Durbridge, Hephurn, Jungels, Quaade, Craddock, Novak and maybe even Vorbev are the riders which I can see taking a medal today. Durbridge is an obvious favourite for me.

Hepburn would be good if it was shorter, but Durbridge is my tip.
