Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!
What on earth!?
Still, if it's any consolation to people, that is my strongest TTT line up excluding Popovych.
In with a chance of an ok GC position here! Epic times!

I am not much impressed, we could do better indeed. But still this race is probably only all about Vanderaerden and his sprints results for my team, so in the end it probably really doesn't matter if we would be 11th or 21st in TTT.
Congrats to Jack Wolfskin, but I really expected bigger time gaps, winning gap being only 2 seconds is a little surprise for me.

All in for Ruben Plaza now with Gesink for the stage win on Green Mountain for Jack Wolfskin now.
Also Serpa had so much bad luck and might try the stage win.
This scenario I expected more in Qatar with many splits and nice late attacks. But great to see that late attacks can have success like Tennant or Westphal so far. |

thanks for the sympathy.
So when I thought we were heading towards the right direction this happens. Plaza needs to over perform now to keep our chances for a top 3 alive. Thank god I brought him here too.

The more I play the more I notice the peloton just randomnly lets some attacks go in the closing kilometers. |

Seem like Meyer have the point jersey in the bag now. Sweet. Also nice that Pedraza was on the right side of the splits. All going quite good at the moment.

Good to see former Pirelli rider Serpa trying to do the unthinkable and still manage to end as third, though he has a really bad habit of loosing time on the easiest stages.
That timetrial will be hopefully deliver a lot of drama in the battle for the overall victory!

Alright. Despite Serpa fucking everything up yesterday this was a good comeback. Too bad he didn't lose only like 1.20 or so, then he would've had a serious shot at top 10. Now 15th or so will be the goal - But 3rd here is way better than expected pre-race and also a win from Lavoine should make up for the lost ground now. Serpa 3rd in the mountains also and possibly Lavoine for top 3 in the sprint competition. It could evidently be a better race than expected, eventhough Serpa decided to blunder.
Well done Serpa!

A truly excellent stage that was brilliantly reported smowz. Good to see Gesink doing the right thing there and working for Plaza rather than chasing the stage win when he clearly had the energy to do so.

1st stage of the year and Santander win the team competition. Epic riding.
Also Valls matching Sicard and Kristiky despite being in the break.
