Rather disappointed
I'd expected better from Napolitano than 16th. That was another goal I failed to succeed. |

Haha, I wish. Mountain stages are much more predictable that hilly races. Anyway the results will be up in 3 hours or so

Around what I expected, so I can live with that. I just had to participate in one of the mountain classics

EDIT: Prediction for La Poly Normandie... Lars Crocket (Petronas)
Right team - wrong man c'mon crystal ball I need names as well...
Very awesome race for Petronas (4 guys in top 12!) and that Milka machine continues to purr well (but then Caspar should have done well in that type of race).
I am guessing levi is going to be fuming there it looked very good for Zirbel for so long.
Steegmans 25th, hmmm something very wrong with the Vespa leaders...

Why is it that Ikea never ever seem to fail to get amazing results, and also seem to be the only team, period, that gets two riders to attack and both get good results? Someone tell me please. Someone? Heck, I'd prefer it if the Ikea manager was around to gloat or something, but being beaten by a non-existant is annoying. Damn annoying. |

I felt like I was in more than just Plouay. Well, sent my top of the line squad there, so we'll see what happens. |

Obviously a good race for IKEA, who extend their lead, plenty of change behind them though. UBS go 3rd, and Bacardi close the gap to the battle for 3rd and go 5th - with Milka not doing so well, dropping 2 to 8th. Good news for Santander aswell, they are back in the Top 10. And a bit further down, Pirelli are closing in on El Al for 20th.

This was Franco Pellizotti's first CT race of the season, in his peculiar schedule. Was it worth the wait? Nope! Up front Taaramae extends his lead, but closest rivals Kirchen and Cobo did both score. Ricco moves up to 6th, with Alarcon in 8th.

I keep thinking I'm doing well, only to find everyone else also is and I haven't really gained at all. I really need Abal to do well in Burgos. Please, just one good result this season is all I'm asking.

Not the kind of performance we could had hoped for, but it seems Ryder didn't have the legs.
Top 20' seems possible, though I need some luck since Serpa only got one race left!

Ricco in Burgos is a very important race for me, point-wise. I'm very happy with this result, as i was starting to doubt after the lottery of the hills.

Good race from Verbist in Sweden - I was hoping he'd attack late and he did.
Can't complain about him getting caught. |

It is difficult when you have to pick 12 HC races... to be honest top 10 with Evans is not so bad. I console myself with the fact that Ricco is looking less and less likely to be in the division next year (Taaramae and Alarcon hopefully too). At least with mountains quality is rewarded unlike those infernel sprints.
mb: What would be a good result for Abal in Burgos podium? or have Santander worked out a plan for Ikea and the Ricco?
Ikea could be touching on 4000 points by the time the Burgos and Slovenia results come in... rjc do Wiggle have enough power to respond?

Taaramae, Evans and Ricco are better climbs, but hopefully only one Ikea rider will attack so third is the expected result.
The plan: Solid hilly stage, hang tough in the mountains only loosing the time bonus, then cleaning up the time trial taking overall victory. It's feasible, if unlikely.
A good result would be 2nd + a stage win in the TT.

So close for Appleby! But 6th is still great for him, and Gaywood of all people taking 2nd! Makes up for a lacklustre Kennaugh for sure.

Thanks, but come on 2 whole teams, that's hardly even a prediction.
