I would say that his current level vs. the level of competitors also have a good effect on wages...
Atm his biggest competitor is Kim Kirchen, and he is on the same team. When Kirchen get's worse, then Ricco's potential to own get's bigger...
These hilly riders will decrease:
Thomas Voeckler
Ruben Elvira Lobato
Johan Coenen
Sylvain Calzati
Sylvain Chavanel
Luis Pasamontes
Andrea Moletta
Matteo Carrara
Jonas Ljungblad
Koldo Gil
Rinaldo Nocentini
Leonardo Bertagnolli
That will probably make his wages go up rather much...

1. Ricco and Kirchen are not the Top 2 CT puncheurs imo
2. Impossible to judge the quality of next seasons CT races since who knows who could end up in CT

The retraining scheme will work if you impose some limits
for ex a rider who has 79 sprint 77 cobbles looses 4 sprint points for 4 cobbles , but you cannot do that to a rider who has 60'ish sprint , so if this will ever to be implemented will need to have a lot of groundrules to stop exploiting the system

Wouldn't work Setzel, as that rider would have gained recovery points from going to 76 sprint.

Well you just exchange points per points no other gained or lost , but this is a complicated thing and i dont have any ideea how will work without managing to not abuse the system

just make it so you can only take away a stat if it's higher than the one you add.

The whole stat rearranging idea could be interesting, but, sounds very complex to cover all eventualities to make sure its fair.
Meanwhile, I have another points Id like to see discussed.
If the game switches to PCM10, how should the Prologue stat be defined?

uggh, tough one... How about we don't switch to PCM 10
Maybe just make it equal to the TT stat to start??? |

I've heard something about prologue having to do with obviously TT and also high acceleration. So i guess start with their TT stat and do +/- points according to their acceleration.

Prologue stat = TT stat +/- (10% of sprint stat over/under 72) +/- (10% of acceleration stat over/under 72)
Maybe just do equal Prologue to TT stat for riders in teams, but for Free agents, why not above?
68TT, 82SP, 80ACC would = 70Pro (well, 69.8 or similar).
82TT, 58SP, 70ACC would = 80Pro (well 80.4)

I think Acc should be more important than Sprint imo (20% Acc, 10% Sprint, 70% TT)
Just seems more natural to me, though the difference wont be big anyway. But if we sit Prl=TT there is really no need for the stat (other than it is needed for pcm10 ofc).

i didn't keep track with 10 - did they fix the bugs so it would be worthwhile switching?

Well, whether to switch or not is a whole other discussion. Ive not really played it enough to know the merits - but I do know Im fed up of the PCM09 sprints, and I think one of the patchs made sprints in PCM10 become decent eventually.

anyway, this is a serious (for the game) discussion that needs to be had (by the poeple who know what they're talking about).

Even better, lets go back to CYM 1, with no cobbles, Zabel winning the Tour, and graphics that make it runnable on an IBM 286. |

I'm happy to go to '10, but we need to decide fairly soon as lots of stages will need to be remade

Haven't tried PCM10, but we might want to test how it does with the AI running the entire show before we make a decision.

Plenty of stages made already for 2010 - as you know having made some yourself.
2010 - Better sprints, TT the same, cobbles the same, mountains the same.
Hills not great, but the right riders tend to win.

Well, I don't know when exactly we're starting the next season, but I think it's fair to say that it won't be until PCM11 has been released. So my guess is that we're switching from PCM09 to PCM11.
Obviously, this raises the prologue stat issue. I guess we can figure out some sort of automated system.
Stuff to spend money on?
