If you have a USB key or a CD-burner, you can place the files on either of those devices. |

If I could run it I'd get it. Separate profiles for major climbs is pretty cool

A couple more questions about the game, is it possible for stages with less cobblestones (like Gent-Wevelgem) to end in a bunch sprint now or is it still the same, and one about riders crashing. In cycling this happens alot more, is it still very rare in the game? I prefer realism it's not like I want my leaders to crash out of the race but it'd make every race unique I never got a single injury in races I didn't simulate in 2009 and that was a whole bunch of races.

It's great to hear from some of you that the breakaways do make it to the finish now.
Thats a great improvement, and it makes stage races so much more interesting and realistic to play.
And it allows you to search for other type of riders instead of only big favorites.
one thing however, I hope that the breakaways in classics/important one day races (flanders, sanremo, roubaix, kuurne, !world championships!) don't make it to the finish, or at least almost never. Can someone who played the game confirm this
I played Flanders with Rabobank and the race ended in a sprint with 30-40 cyclists. Pozzato could just beat Gilbert in the end. Level was normal by the way
I think a big difference is that the cyclists lose energy quite easily but also regain energy a lot faster. This will probably make a lot of races more realistic, but I didn't play enough races to be sure. |

That's great news, hopefully there's still a chance of breaking away but not with such big margins in for example Gent Wevelgem, every other year it ends with a bunch sprint then again, it does often come down to a group sprint between a few riders too. These riders aren't necesarilly good cobblestone riders. In RvV though it seems like a few riders manages to break away every year and there's always a bunch sprint for the rest of top spots. At least lately that is.
But as long as there is a possibly for a small group sprint I'm happy. What about Paris - Roubaix.. There shouldn't really be any huge group sprints there. |

I just played Paris - Roubaix on hard.
It is actually pretty realistic. There was a normal breakaway from the start, but a group of 5 people attacked as the first cobblestones showed. It was guys like Boasson Hagen (around 72 CB stat). In the peleton the favourites' teams relayed in steady pace and slowly riders began dropping off (even a star like Haussler, which was commented (like when a rider attack).
At around 40 km to go, there was approx 20 riders left in the front group (breakaway was cought a bit earlier). But the first attacks started around 25 km to go by the outsiders (77 CBB stat) and soon the favourites followed. Hoste won the race with a small gap to O'Grady and Cancellara (I was playing with Saxo Bank). Mainly the first groups were consisting 1-4 riders
I noticed that everybody finished expept those who crashed and was injured.

I would like to know if there are more "stars" who for example are racing the Giro now? It was always so boring in 09 that you with a decent stage racer could end up with a podium finish or even win depending on liquigas and all the fast guys for the sprints was never anticipating in the race!

How many crashes occured, have you experienced these during other stages or is it just on the cobblestones? And did everyone that did well attack or did a group behind actually relay trying to catch up. Do you still have to counter attack the favorites to stand a chance at winning? And at last how many riders finished within.. let's say 5 minutes? |

There was some crashes. Most of them was just one or two riders, but there was one crash which involved 5+ riders. But in my opinion there was not enough as it would be expected in real life. Especially when you take in mind that it actually was raining for most of the part with cobblestones.
Actually there was plenty of favourites which stayed together and relayed. They did catch some of the attackers, but they did not get close to catch the front riders.
Personally I was not counter attacking. O'grady (finished 2nd) was actually the one who started the attacking of favourites. Cancellera attacked all by himself and managed to catch the group which was chasing Hoste.
As far as I remember approx 20 riders finished within 5 minutes. I actually think that the gap between groups is not big enough. But it makes the race more unpredictable. |

Still haven't experienced the weather changing mid-way thru the race. Is there a setting that heightens or turns on this great addition?
