@the_hoyle: well, Fly Emirates are still in front of us in the ranking thanks to Sagan and Nibali, but they also have Contador for the GT.
@sutty68: A very good classic season indeed, even though I'm personally a bit disappointed I did not managed to get a victory.

The 8th position of Kenny is quite a good result even if the top 5 was the main target. Despite having great climbers in the team, they never managed to get a single victory in that Giro. All hopes are now turn on the Tour de France were Thibaut Pinot and Arnaud Démare have been confirmed in the roster. That mean that only 7 spots are now available.
My Pre-TDF Training Camps are now over, we worked well with the boys in the mountain and you shall be able to see some pictures soon.
Anthony Louveille. |

It's been a month since I did my last update, and I think it's time for me to explain. Few weeks ago was the Tour de Suisse and FDJ.fr had me in their squad. The race was starting with a short prologue of 9 kilometers where I had hoped of success.
But at mid-race, I fainted, I did not understood what happened, and then I blacked-out.
Three days later I woke up in the hospital... |

After I woke up, the doctors explained me that an accumulation of stress and fatigue was at the origin of my faint. They also discovered that last year after Paris - Roubaix, my passage at the hospital was not nothing contrary to what doctors said back then. Apparently there have been complication that could compromised my career... |

The doctors were formal, if I continue at that level the three-day black out could become a week, a month or a year. They also told me that this event could be isolated and it was my decision to make if I want or not continue cycling at a professional level.
I was the prodigal kid, winning a lot in my first years and now that amount of efforts I made too early (I was 19 back to this days) are compromising my chances to compete in the biggest races of the calendar... |

My future was in my hands, the doctors could not force me to stop as it is my own decision to make. I have already missed the French Championships but my selection for the Tour de France was announced.
I never took part in that race and it could be my last chance to race it. With the authorization from the team doctor and the staff, I decided to take part in the race. I will make the final decision about ending or not my career after I see the Champs Elysée.
After all that stuff I had to explain, I hope you will still be cheering for me on the roads of France where I will help Thibaut in the defense of his title.
See you on the roads, Anthony Louveille. |

we all hope that he can continue his career of course but saying good-bye to cycling at the greatest stage of all (The Champs Elysée) would be nice, especially for a french lad like Anthony

Thanks all for the support, Anthony is at a turn in his life time and so is the story, I've decided to implement that twist to end the story properly in case of an amazing story idea or PCM2014 . So I'm not even sure myself if I will end it or not. I gave me a way out that I may use or not after the Tour de France.
The first stages should come later today. |

Tour de France
As I said previously, I had been selected to take part in this year Tour de France. Marc Madiot announced a strong squad to help Thibaut in the mountains but also to take some stage victories in the sprints with Arnaud Démare.
The squad will be composed of William Bonnet, Arnaud Démare, Alexandre Geniez, Matthieu Ladagnous, Me, Cédric Pineau, Thibaut Pinot, Jérémy Roy and Anthony Turgis.
And among these guys will be The French Champion. The team wanted to keep the title inside our ranks and on a quite flat profile, Arnaud Démare managed to sprint for the victory. I'm happy to give him the title as we will ride together during these 21 days.
The Tour is about to start now,
see you after the TTT, Anthony Louveille. |

@Ian Butler: We'll find that out soon enough
Tour de France
Stage 1
The first Stage was a Team Time Trial and I can say that we surprised more than one team with our 5th position 26" behind BMC Racing Team which won the Stage.
Thibaut only lost time to Chris Froome, which is a good news for the GC.

@sutty68: This TTT put the team in great position for the future.
Tour de France
Stage 2
The stage was made for sprinters who could sprint uphill, the finish was not all flat and Peter Sagan (EMI) was mainly expected there.
But before, there was the Intermediate sprint won by Arnaud in the pack and as there was only one man at the front he took a lot of points.
As I'm still trying to recover from my stay at the hospital, I did not took part in the sprint which was won by Mark Cavendish (TEL) in front of Peter Sagan (EMI) and Arnaud Démare.
Only 69 riders ended in the same time as the winner and only Alexandre Geniez and Jérémy Roy missed the break.
