This is so spot on. Generation I was legendary. Generation II was acceptable. Generation III was abysmal
Well, I think that Gen I and III are brilliant, surely because I grew up with Gen III... But I agree though, Gen II is average and IV and younger are rubbish bullshit
EDIT: I'm 16 by the way...

This may be the most accurate statement ever.

I hate to double post, but I want to bring the discussion to some thing slightly more serious. McDonald's is currently being protested against for low wages. This was my take on it, and I want you guys to tell me what you think of this madness.
McDonald's has a simple business model, simply producing product for profit. This model, in economic view, is effective, but requires structure, and employees that remain faithful to the cause for the time they spend there. Of course, McDonald's is not a prestigious, or high skill, employment opportunity, and thus gets many workers out of high school or college that need some experience working and interacting with people. The employment offered at McDonald's is not a permanent option, merely a "boost", if you will, into the real world, or as extra cash needed in a pinch, as if a family member falls ill and needs hospital care. Roughly 74%(yes, you read that correctly) of the students at my school are currently employed by a fast-food restaurant, and the job generates a small amount of money for them to prepare for the future. As a result, none of the opportunities that McDonald's hands out on a silver platter should be taken as a career idea, nor a high-wage, practical job.
Furthermore, you are not needed as the guy behind the counter. Thousands are lined up right behind you, ready for the next job to open. No skills are needed for McDonald's work anyhow, so long as you can stand, breathe, clean, talk, and be friendly, and there should be no issues with getting a replacement for that sizeable list of duties. Because the job requires nothing but a human body, how can any wage possibly be expected in return? Now, of course some compensation is in order, but to double what the current employees are receiving? Math Check!
A friend of mine works with me at my software development company as a financial analyst. He is spectacular at this work, even though he is 17. He helped me work through some of these numbers, using our local McDonald's as a research project. Our local McDonald's brings in(for the ease of explaining) 2.75M in base revenue per year, with a set 1.2M drawback in costs and necessary expenses. The employees take in, roughly, 7.50 an hour, but one must remember; there are 40 employees, adjusting for 40-hour weeks. This produces another .6M drop in profit. Now for management and franchising fees. Management takes in about 15.00 an hour, the wage being suggested for the base employment, but there only 8 of them. That's another .24M out of the way. We have less than a million for the franchise fee, which, at 5% of gross income, translates to another .15M. So where does the rest go? Upkeep and repairs, because that is always a need. It also goes toward lawsuits, when needed, R&D, improvements, renovations, customer awareness, advertising, product improvement, taxes, city utilities, power, and countless other things. If the wage was raised, two things would happen.
The first of two issues would come in as simple inability to meet overhead costs above 0. 2.75M in revenue, to refer to above, all gone, and then further strained by massive employee wages. This leads to employees being cut, poor management, poor quality of the restaurant, and in some terrible cases, absolute bankruptcy, often filed as Chapter 11 and done forever. Additionally, stress arises when a low skill worker suddenly gets management wages, and then management wants a raise, and prices go up, and employees get cut, and double the issues presented by revenue negativity. It just can't be established that one can justify bankrupting the company for higher wages.
I am not saying, in any fashion, that McDonald's is a poor quality, stupid job for illegal immigrants, but rather the opposite. It is for workers without skill, to learn, and build, and flourish into the real market. Education and time can bring you to a career, not McDonald's. Thus concludes my rant, and as I've decided to end this with an uplifting message, save the crown, save the town and Mr. Krabs!

If you are getting at what I think you are, then I agree. I would never eat at McDonals anymore but abou tthe jobs it makes sense.
If you have no skill at all then you work there for a living. Rather, you should learn skills so you can work in other places that you can make a living on, while using McDonalds as enough while you get there.
So to double wages is ludicrous. The whole oint of a bsuiness is to make profit, and if the employees are making more of it, then your business isn't worth having. The skills (none) and use are just not worth that much money.

Agree primarily with what NTTHRASH said, the national average for employees at McD is actually between 8 and 9, which amounts to nearly 20,000 per year. Given you know the real meaning of "birth control", it's not that horrible of a salary.
HOWEVER with that being said, I sometimes doubt the credibility of NTTHRASH. For example:

The one i work for is not my independent one. I own a "company", and also work at Datastream Associates for my uncle.
@bbl: I think even LLS/CF(if you catch my drift) could work there.
