The problem is that he was this good when he was 19 (which made everyone gasp - WHAT A TALENT) and then never improved in the slightest

But in this case, he cannot blame an injury for not having results nowadays... He used to top-10 in week long races, now he struggles for a top-15/20... |

Davide Martinelli will be a stagaire at Cannondale from August. Was with Sky last year. So he continues to stay away from his dad

More importantly, so will Davide Villella. And Villella already has a 2014 contract

Ten Dam have reportedly signed a new contract with Belkin for two years.
Lopez and Puccio have signed new contracts with Sky through 2016
Koldo Fernandez have signed new contract with Garmin. One year.

They actually wanted to fire him after he reacted very bad on his non-selection for the Tour. Some internal meetings cleared some things up and he performed big time in Austria

Of course he did, he needs to find a new team to pay him lots of money for mediocre performances |

Yes, he has also long ignored the advice to live in a more mountaineous area for training purpose and instead kept living in Belgium, I believe. As a result he hasn't improved one bit (not saying that's the decisive factor but it could be contributing). |

Also, Bozic, Gavazzi, Muravyev and Tiralongo renew for another season.
And Aru for three.

This is incorrect and denied by Davide Martinelli himself. It should be Nicola Martinello who is going to Cannondale.
In bigger news: Izagirre brothers appear to have signed at Movistar. |

Pelli was banned until May 2012. Astana is a MPCC member. MPCC teams can't hire riders during two years after they've returned from suspension.
I wonder how it'll end... |

I really look forward to seeing how far Jesper Hansen can get!
Edit: His first race will be USA Pro Cycling Challenge.
Edit2: I'm quite sure he will finish Post Danmark Rundt before changing teams though
