Especially losing time to Nibali and Scarponi is not really a good thing

@baggieboys - Thanks, but I don't think that the Giro would be more open considering that Nibbles and Scarponi are still in the top 10, but I don't know. Time will tell.
@Miguel - Maybe Puskaric can also have more chances.
@fcancellara - Yes, they are our main concerns...
@fracopell - Indeed, thanks for following. |

Well that was defiantly an early GT stage
Massive crash, odd behavior...
Go Wiles
Puskaric is hardly out of the fight.

@TMM - Fully agree with everything you said.
Another pan-flat stage, sprinters feast!
"This day is mine!"-thought some old italians, including Marco Pinotti and Danilo Di Luca, and they made it into the daily break with Egoi Martinez, Rast and Seeldraeyers. The pack decided not to chase too hard, and a let the break have lots of room.
Despite the great lead by the break, Rabobank decided to push the pace and bring it all together. It was a bit slow, but finally the gap started to gap smaller and smaller, as Garmin also started the pacemaking.
Despite the hard pace by Rabo and Garmin, when we made our train, the break still wasn"t caught. Our train was consisting of DeLarge, van den Meer, Kowalski and Bahr. Alex started to pull, but wait a second!
Robert Gesink is on the ground! What a terrible start of a GT for him, crashing 2 times in the first 3 stages! Classic Gesink tbh. At the front our train was still infront.
Turning into the last kilometres, the Androni and the Garmin trains were in a bit better position than us, and Bahr was just feeling miserably, and couldn't even overtake Kowalski. At the front Renshaw overtook Ferrari, and was in a big battle with Farrar. Who will be the winner?
It's Mark Renshaw taking his first GT stage-win! Great sprint from the aussie, outpowering Farrar, who comes 2nd. Farnese's Elia Favili manages to get 3rd, after getting stuck behind Bahr, who disappoint badly. The best Spider is Kowalski finishing 19th.
Other big news are that, Hesjedal and Gesink are now officialy out of contention.

Important question: Should I simulate the TTT, is it more realistic compared to paying it?

The riders are currently having a nice rest, while transporting to Italy. They will come back with the TTT results fairly soon. |

@IanButler - Yes, they suffered badly.
The really hard TTT, proved to make quite big gaps. Lamre has proven to be the biggest losers of the day with their only 7-men squad, finishing 1'59 down on the winners. The winner team of the TTT were SpiderTech - Cervélo, they gave the 2nd team a gap of 17 seconds. Sky, containing Wiggo and Froome, were 24 seconds off SpiderTech's time. Vincenzo Nibali's team, Liquigas, finished the course 50seconds slower. Tomorrow's Maglia Rosa wearer is going to be Alex DeLarge.

He'll strike back, he is only 21st!
I thought he'd be around 80th, but this really isn't that bad
That win in the TTT certainly helped, how unexpected!
Oh and I love this screen,
the Spidertech jersey looks awesome in it, it looks like the real jerseys. With that I mean, it doesn't look like it's designed by a 3-year old; it looks professional. I'm proud of my work, and glad to see it in this great story.
Now defend this jersey!

@TMM - Indeed, it's getting really interesting...
@fcancellara - Yes, he is still in contention for the GC!
I really like that screenshot too, it's pretty good. And the jerseys are indeed looking amazing, thank you for them!
@sutty - Thanks, I think IanButler will like it.

The last stage for the sprinters in the first week, let's see if they are grabbing the chance.
Naturally, after the start of the stage a BotD formed, and as it was in most cases in the Giro, it was a 5-men break. KOM jersey wearer Ignatiev was in it, as well as Egoi Martinez and Maarten Wynants.
Despite all of the BotD riders having serious gaps in the GC, Lampre and Aqua&Sapone decided to bring it back together. They caught the break quite easily, and the sprint preparations started.
This time we didn't want to make our train, so Kowalski and Bahr went on their own, trying to find the other sprinters's wheels. There were 3 major trains, one with A&S for Napolitano and Renshaw, Garmin for Farrar, and lastly Androni for Ferrari. At 3kms A&S was at the front, but the gaps weren't too big.
Heading to the last kilometer, it was Napolitano in the lead, but he was sprinting from way too far out, and lost a lot of ground already. Farrar and Ferrari were in great positions, and were both launching from their leadouts's wheels. Our riders somehow struggled a lot to keep up with them, and didn't look too good. Napolitano lost his lead at 500, and Ferrari blasted away with Farrar and Renshaw.
And it's Roberto Ferrari winning the stage, what a win on his homesoil! He edges out Farrar and Renshaw. The fading Napolitano finished 4th, and was a bit angry at the end, he felt like that he could have won that one. The best Spider is Kowalski finishing at the 17th, but on the bright side, Alexkept his jersey.

From the next stage we will shine in our newly built leader's uniforms made by our main designer, fcancellara! (Hope he can finish it on time. )
