Totally agree, Kreuziger looks awesome, Mo 83, Hi 81, TT 80... You got yourself a serious contender for the win in the Tour!

Another amazing story Spilak Great layouts, reports and pictures. Make for superb reading
Amazing previews, has to take lots of time so kudos for making them They're awesome
After finishing baia's story I have to catch up now with Geox results. Menchov done well, just by reading this page and great you got promotion as well
Jez....Kreuziger is a absolute moster, I don't think you could find more complete rider for GT than him... some pressure to perform he will have
Awesome job Spilak

I believe that you might not have signed anybody better than Roman to lead the team in a GT! The Czech has a few incredible stats and insurance that will make you very happy.
Im wishing it to begin the new period!

Kreuziger was indeed a nice find. It was great to see him develop after we signed him. Even better is his wage. 65.000 for the next two years, half of what Contador (with around the same stats) will get paid.
Team Geox-TMC Rider Presentation
Tomas Alberio
Tomas Alberio remains with the team. He was a domestique last year and will keep this role as he is trying to become better true gaining experience.
Mauricio Alberto Ardila Cano
Ardila also comes back for another year. The small Colombian can certainly help us anywhere where the road rises. A good domestique for the Giro.
Janez Brajkovic
Brajkovic is our 2nd big addition. He is both a great climber and timetrialer and will go for the win in some smaller one week races before helping Kreuziger in the biggest race of the season, the Tour de France.
Matthias Brändle
Brändle is a young timetrialer. The big Austrian will certainly help us on some TTT's. He is also an okay climber so will also be a good domestique on the harder terrain.
Gianpaolo Cheula
Cheula is a very attractive rider as he attacks a lot. He will get a chance to show himself in this years Giro d'Italia.
Juan Jose Cobo
El Bizonte did very well for us last year. He was constantly fighting for good overal's in one week races in the beginning of the season before coming in 6th in the Vuelta while helping Menchov and Duarte. He will race for a good result in the early one week races before focusing on the Tour.
Daniele Colli
Colli is one of our best sprinters. He will certainly get a chance in some smaller races but his inabilty to survive longer climbs means he won't get a chance on the GT level.
Marco Corti
Corti was a very good domestique last year and got some good results in races on his home-soil. He will be a domestique who will regurly get his chance to try something in an attack.
David De La Fuente
De La Fuente was great last season taking the KoM jersey in Catalunya and Pais Vasco before taking home the best climbers trophy in the Vuelta. He will go for the same as last year and hopes to get some more stage wins on the World Tour level.
Fabio Duarte
Duarte become a very good climber last year. He finished 4th in the Vuelta after a great stage win on the Sierra Nevada. The dual Colombian champion will get his chance in the Tour this year.
Arkaitz Duran
Duran is a very dependable domestique always doing his best to see his leaders shine. We are happy with him and he will certainly help us out in one of the GT's.
Fabio Felline
Fellini is one of the biggest talents in our team, even in the world of cycling. He looks to become the next Paolo Bettini. He will aim at a good result in the Tirreno-Adriatico, where he won a stage last year.
Xavier Florencio
Florencio was a bit disappointing last year as I hoped for him to win a bit more but he still got some good results. He will do the same again, hoping for wins in Spanish and Italian classics.

Great addition to your squad, especially Kreuziger for 65.000 is an absolute bargain, Brajkovic should be great domestique for him.
I hope he will smash the opponents in France next year

More to come
Team Geox-TMC Rider Presentation
David Gutierrez Gutierrez
Gutierrez was a very reliable domestique last year and will continue to do the same.
Marko Kump
Kump is both our best sprinter and best cobbler. He will lead the team in those races. Mainly to gain experience as he is still very young.
Enrico Maggazini
Maggazini is a very promising young Italian. We will let him race some smaller races to become a good climber and puncher.
Tiziano Mainardi
Mainardi rode as a stagaire for the last couple of months last season. He has a professional contract now. We look to improve him for the flatter classics.
Matteo Pelucchi
Pelucchi is a good sprinter who can get over smaller hills. He will certainly be seen in smaller Italian races.
Domenico Pozzovivo
Pozzovivo comes over from the Colnago squad. His team didn't get an invite to the Giro last year but he looks to do well now in his favourite race.
Daniele Ratto
Ratto is a young Italian sprinter. He did very good in last year's Vuelta and will get a chance to ride the Giro this year.
Carlos Sastre
Sastre is no longer the rider he was when winning the Tour some years ago. His climbing skills have decreased but he has become a better timetrialer. He will be seen in the Tour.
Michael Schär
Schär is a great addition to the team. He can help us on an aspect we are rather weak on. The flat. Will certainly be an important helper in the Tour de France.
Simone Stortoni
Stortoni has improved into a good climber last season. He is not strong enough to get good results for himself but should thrive as a mountain-domestique.
Rafael Valls
Valls is another young climber who will help us in the Giro d'Italia.
Marcel Wyss
Wyss is another very good climber. He has also a good sprint for such a strong climber so he will certainly get us a win or two.

Team Geox-TMC Team Presentation
New Jersey for the 2012 season!
Team Geox-TMC will use a new jersey for the 2012 season. They didn't found any designer so the manager made the new jersey himself. If a designer is willing to make one, he is always welcome.
Both Geox and TMC have given us a sheet with the expactations for the upcoming season. The goals look hard but I think we can achieve most of those.
We will participate in 3 races the upcoming month. The Tour de San Luis, the Tour Down Under and the Giro della Calabria.

Cool team out there. You'll maybe need a better sprinter, but that's just my opinion. |

Tough goals, but i think its better to try to win Vuelta and Giro with Kreuziger, and a GC-top 10 with Brajkovic in La Grande Boucle! Any way good luck
Guess who's back?

@sutty68/vangerner: The team will certainly be very strong in the GT's. I actually don't really like the jersey, although I made it myself, and hope a real shirtmaker makes a new one for me.
@baia: Thanks, will try but winning the World Tour will be hard without any sprinters and cobblers.
@Faillu: Thanks. Sprinting is indeed a weakness of ours but you can't be strong in every aspect.
Tour Down Under
The Santos Tour Down Under is generally seen as the opening to the cycling season. The race has no long history as it was only raced for the first time in 1999 but became very popular very quick and is part of the Pro and later World Tour since 2008. Record winners are O'Grady and Greipel with both two victories.
Last Year
Maxime Monfort took a surprising win last year. A succesfull brake saw him taking enough time on the sprinters to hold of Petacchi for the win.
Startlist
GreenEdge, the new Australian WT team brought their biggest star and World Champion Edvald Boasson Hagen. The Norwegian is certainly the top favourite as he is probably one of the only sprinters who can survive the harder stages and the finish on the Willunga hill. Boonen and Greipel can't be underestimated though.
Geox squad
We didn't brought a strong squad as the flatter profiles don't really suit our riders. Florencio still should be able to get a good result on the harder finish on stage 2 and the Willunga hill on stage 5. All other riders are free to attack.

@dienblad: Thanks. We will try to win them all but it will be hard.
@alexanderlens: Kreuziger will go for the Tour and Menchov for the Giro and Vuelta. This way it's way more challenging.
Tour Down Under
Stage 1: Geeps Cross - Clare 149.0 km
Profile
The Tour Down Under is a sprinters tour and they get their chance immediately. Top favourites are Greipel, Boasson Hagen and Boonen. Geox will try to get into the break of the day.
After some unsuccesfull tries by Schär, it's Corti who gets in the break. Offredo (Europcar) and Mortensen (SaxoBank) make up for a rather small group.
The intermediate sprints Down Under give more points than the final sprints so the fight for the sprinter's jersey is between the escapees. Corti wins the 2nd sprint but was only 3rd in the first so the sprinter's jersey is for Offredo.
Sky (Henderson, Appolonio), Lotto (Greipel) and GreenEdge (Boasson Hagen) controlled the pack for most of the day. They kept the break under control and the escapees are caught with a bit more as 10 km remaining.
Suddenly, only 40 riders remain in the front group. Most Geox riders still in the first group is certainly positive.
WOW! This is the reason for the split. A huge crash with 2/3's of the peloton involved. 100 riders are down! Valls and Colli are the two Geox riders who ar e involved. They can luckily continue their way.
In the meantime, the sprint has already started at the front. World champion Boasson Hagen is leading but Boonen, Greipel, Bazayev and Guarnieri are giving everything to pass him. Florencio is able to hold a very good position.
But Greipel had a very strong kick near the end and he takes the win. Boasson Hagen lost his speed near the end as also Boonen and Bazayev overtook him to complete the podium. Florencio did very good and could take a 10th place.
Result
A great start to the season for the renewed Lotto team.
