Probably looking at another stage win and GC podium for Pogi to match his Vuelta performance, but which place on the podium
I mean I know I called another stage win for Pogi, but what the heck did I just witness?!
I am the biggest Pogi fan out there, but seeing Roglic crack and lose it like that. It's crazy. I can't even feel happy for Pogi right now. I just feel empty
Sad day for Roglic. Sad day for Jumbo Visma. We (Slovenians) knew we were gonna get an unprecedented Tour de France champion before today, but no one expected this outcome.

This is the single most domininant performance in the entire Tour - Pogacar has won all but one jersey.
Regarding Jumbo - Roglic choked hard. This is by far the biggest collapse of a yellow jersey holder I've ever seen.

Roglic didn't crack. He was a bellow expectations. How do you crack when you finish the stage in fifth place? Pogacar was flying. Had Pogacar been around Dumoulin - Porte level, Roglic would have won.

What an unbelievable stage. And this stage is a prime example of why you should take time whenever you can and not gift time to others like Roglic let Pogacar go in stage 8. Jumbo Visma had the strongest team with the strongest rider in the Alps ( Roglic was stronger than Pogacar in Alps ) but lost the race by failing to gain time when needed.

Roglic finished 25 seconds behind WVA on a mountain time trial. I don't think below expectations covers this, it was the biggest TT of his life and he cracked.

Also, a shoutout to Miguel Angel Lopez for doing his best imitation of Michael Rasmussen 2005, losing more than 6 minutes to the stage winner and going from 3rd to 6th in GC.

Only 3 riders beat Van Aert today though so Roglic finishing behind him is not cracking. Roglic was more or less on par with the best riders except Pogacar today. Pogacar was on a whole different level.
Not keeping up with a flying performance is not cracking. Cracking is what Lopez did.

Yeah, there's no way Roglic "cracked" there imo. It was not a stunning ride from him, but he finished top 5. He didn't just completely lose it. Pogocar was just insane. Forget +5, he was on a +10 today.

Both happened.
Pogacar won this, but Roglic also cracked. His performance and numbers were not what he expected of himself.

Just realized Avenir 2017 and 2018 winners have both won a Tour now. You know what happens next, Tobias Foss will avenge Roglic in 2021. |

Anyone think the UCI broke the motor in Roglic's bike yet?

I am with Tamjio and Schleck Fan. Strongest rider won, and shows that you have to take the time when you can. This is TdF will be a masterclass they can show and reference to anyone thinking it is decided.
Porte in 3rd is wow, very unexpectes but Covid timed it well for him. Gratz to this oldie who has matures from one of the most unlikable riders to quite a man of sympathy. This has been a long tjme coming. Probably means to him as much as for Valv in 2006
Amazing stuff by Pogi, what a rider, although it is insane to think we have another guy on our hands who can do it all... lets see what the future holds...
Roglic human after all, next year he will be canniblize it

Roglic and Pogi were both nearly identical strong and yet the guy in yellow loses 2 minutes in the all deciding time trial..If this is not cracking then I don't know what it should is lol he landed behind WVA, Dumoulin and Porte.. guys he distanced on every climb basically.
Ok maybe MAL cracked even harder, 6 mins.. did he crash three times? MAL is truly hit and miss.

Solid 4th place by Landa, after Tour and Giro now Tour again. It is time for a podium but he can be proud of his performance here.

If this is true then Pogacar has the record time of La Planche des Belles Filles despite changing bikes on the climb:
