League table has been updated after La Vuelta and ToB.
Congrats to Lord Di Lego and Dominox for their wins and also to Ian Russell who appears to have sewn up the overall title for a second year in a row.
I don't think there will be any more races this year but obviously keep an eye out. Either way I don't think Ian will be caught now.
I finished just outside the top 25 at both La Vuelta and The ToB. Unfortunately just outside the top 25 at the ToB was second last

Yet still I was 3rd overall in Britain. Never before and probably never again . I took some photos for my memory that I actually was first for about 3 or 4 days . |

Thanks Ringo and again thanks for organising this so well
For interests sake Velogames have done a combined GT score this year too - unfortunately 2 out of 3 for me what with Valverde, Izagirre, Sagan and Majka at the Tour...

Yeah, also congrats on retaining Velo crown ianrussell!
Would be nice if George would make a combined ranking for all Velo games this season. I saw that in previous years was something like that, but for premium users. |

Cheers You were looking very good for even bigger points haul in the Vuelta, with plenty of double bonus points too that would've closed the gap, until an unfortunate final week.

Congrat to IanRussell. Well done mate. Finishing off with top placings in both Vuelta and Britain to cement overall win.
My own campaign fell apart with the TDF. Vuelta was a "disastour" as was the ToB. Just kept picking cyclist out of form, DSQ, DNF or just plain bad.
Guess I have to be satisfied with 2 wins in Tirreno and OVO Energy, adding them to last years Eneco.
Finsihed above 200 points and a top 10. Pretty good in my book.
Thanks Ringo for keeping this a super competition. Hope you can get one of the ground next year too.

In typically French fashion, I crumbled under the pressure and didn't score many points since my wins at Tour de Suisse and Giro Rosa.
I was hoping to get a top 3 placing overall but end up being 7th. it's an improvement from last season but completely misread the types of stages for BinckBank Tour and Tour of Britain so did not score many points. I also did bad in the last two GTs.
Oh well, there is still next season.
Thanks again Ringo182 for organising this, it's great fun and congratulations to Ian Russell for successive wins. |

I think Ringo (thanks for organizing it again), you can do Eneco/Binckbanck like this:
Eneco Tour / BinckBanck Tour
2016 - Clamel
2017 - Alexkr00
I know, I know, but it at least looks nice . |

Thanks for all the congratulations for the Vuelta win, it's been a while since I actually won one of our leagues. This might actually have been my worst velogames season in several years. There were rough patches with very bad or uneven results, specially in the first half, and overall just too many mediocre results on top of that. I'm happy I could at least find some kind of form at the end of the season and sprint up the table to re-conquer the second spot on the podium (currently, if there are no more races that is) in our overall standings.
As far as the ianrussell, what can you say other than congratulate. Not only top results, but even and stable top results. Constantly scoring points. No wonder he wins by a wide margin for the second year in a row. Well done!
In order to give him a race for his money, I'd have to be back to my 2015 velogames form. Of course that was the last year before ringo started doing these season-long competitions (Typical! Where were you when I was I might have won, ringo?! ).
Speaking of ringo, a big thank you for creating these competitions. They always add a little extra spice to the races.
Maybe we'll still get a Worlds RR, like last year (premium last year)?

Thanks Di Lego
There are 2 WT races left and the World's but no idea if Velogames will cover any of them, though I suspect not given the pattern of recent years. George, who runs it, won't be drawn on a definitive answer on Twitter.
Anyway it's added to the fun so just to reiterate my thanks to you Ringo.

A final message this season to give a formal congratulations to Ian Russell, our 2 time PCMDaily Velogames Champion.
The race was (very) slightly closer this year with a group of players making good attempts to hold on to Ian's coat tails. Consistency was the name of the game this year with Ian scoring points in all but 2 games throughout the year.
The game will be back in January 2018 with the Tour Down Under (hopefully) so hopefully I'll see you all back next year. I might try to advertise the competition a bit more openly on the forum to drum up players next year. The more players we have the more chance of someone ending Ian's reign of dominance Though it sounds like Lord Di Lego will be making a concerted effort to take back his Velogames crown next year.
Anyway, let me know if you have any questions or idea's for future editions of the race.
