That reminded me of something.
Back in 2010 me and Waghlon decided to prank a certain respected forum member here who is a Sky fan. Waghlon told him a Sky rider had tested positive. When asked who, Waghlon panicked and said "Froome".
Response: "Oh. I don't care about Froome". You should see how happy he was a year later when Froome came a few seconds from winning the Vuelta against doped to the eyeballs Cobo
Who?
Was Alak a respected member back in 2010? |

I'm telling you. I can predict the future sometimes.

Alakagom is polish. And he's been absent since PCM came out, has he died of starvation after shutting himself indoors?

Haha that's hilarious
(for anyone not getting what the link is, it's a google search of pages and news before the 2011 Vuelta for the words "Froome" and "Bilharzia". zero results)

It's so damn obvious what they are doing and still there are so many fanboys. |

More stuff that happened. Or "news" if you like labels
- The dutch have already (!!) named their world championships team, way ahead of schedule. 4 rabo guys (Mollema, Gesink, Kelderman, ten Dam) and Weening. For the TT, Westra and Terpstra.
A bit early, but it'll be itneresting to see if the different approach works. It's definitely a team suited to the course. They want the riders to train together for a long time.
- Kimmage has finally asked of Sky what so many have been waiting for a long time for someone to ask them directly. Since usually on a team that wants to be careful the drugs are distributed directly only to the core of 4-5 top guys that they're focusing on - the famous US Postal white bags - the team's stage racing core usually, Kimmage asked of Brailsford why it is that Hagen has stagnated so completely at Sky and hasn't developed into a world beater.
I've never seen Brailsford sweat so much. Stammered, stuttered and finally replied words to the effect of "well, that's your opinion" and moved on to the next question.
Pretty pertinent question. Why has Hagen's development stopped stone cold when nobodies are turning into stars?
Link for the Kimmage piece?

It will never appear on UK media, we can't bare the idea that a national hero might have cheated...
On Bilharzia, anyone that knows anything about the illness instantly knows the extent of its effects, and that you do not suddenly bounce back in under a year. That said it's a tricky area, people should keep in mind that he could actually have been ill, in which case some comments are disgusting. (not necessarily here, but in places on the forum and many others) It's like when people made links between Lance's cancer and doping, just disgusting. (yes i take this bit very seriously)

I've tried to look up the recovery time from Bilharzia. I haven't found much. If untreated, schistosomiasis worms will often live in the body for 4-4.5 years. Treated, I have no idea.

You're not going to like what I'm about to post then
Did you read Tyler Hamilton's deposition?
He states Dr. Ferrari told Lance to his face that he believed the doping and specifically the massive steroid doses Lance took was a major factor in the cancer.
Also, the reason he wasn't warned early (like Joly, Irizar, etc. were) is because while usually cancer markers are present in tests so the rider is alerted, in Armstrongs they were absent due to him taking steroid masking agents such as probenecid.

@Isso
No those comments are fine, and incredibly accurate. But when people say they doped because they got ill, got quicker because they got ill etc. that is the disgusting comments

Sounds very plausible. Either that or he's ashamed to show himself after being a beta-tester and still allowing a very buggy game to be released |

I'm also starting to see in on english media but each article gives a different innacurate version of what Kimmage and Brailsford said

Anybody else see the excerpts from Armstrong's LeMonde interview?
Apparently he discovered this "telling the truth" thing and seems to be liking it
On a Truth and Reconcilliation comittee:
“McQuaid tries to avoid the issue because when a committee like that is installed, he, Verbruggen and the entire UCI will fall.”

Yeah, I've read excerpts of it on the mobile version of Le Monde.
Most of his points actually make sense. I was usually angry when I read his interviews, but now he seems sincere and speaks some common sense. |

How hard can it be?

Wait. Terpstra for the TT?
Well, you definitely know who I want in his place, but I can think of others who I would rate better in long TTs than Terpstra(Boom, Clement, even Dumoulin).
Though Terpstra got 2nd in the NC, I just don't think he can be as good at the WC as those guys...
