It'd have to be The Emperor 3.0 after Rik Van Looy and Palpatine |

Vincenzo Nibali - Rui Costa - Nairo Quintana - Alberto Contador - Peter Sagan
WDshirts
The Last of the Real
- Story about Dries Deckers - racing against Merckx, de Vlaeminck etc.

francopell: Glad you think so
theManxMissile: I sure did
Daggen: Indeed, he'll have 10 more race days, give or take a few!
the_hoyle: Well, next year's profile (variant) suits him much better then this profile (real 2012 profile)
Wild Dog: That's a chance
FreitasPCM: He should better make a foundation to pay for his opponents, since they won't be receiving much prize money
Atlantius: The Emperor. Once you've seen Star Wars, that always sounds awesome
Wild Dog: For me a cannibal isn't necessarily someone who wins everything. In the age of specialization, a cannibal should just be someone who owns (almost) everything in his specialty!
Nickname-discussing-people: Too late to change now, the world knows him as Cannibal 2.0 it's bad marketing to change that. but I appreciate the effort. |

First of all, welcome to the forum
His stats change every once in a while, so I can't really say what his stats are, because he has none
It would be better to direct your question in the General PCM 2011 section of the site. |

Tirreno - Adriatico 2014 - Stage 1 & 4
This was to be Roberto's first Tirreno - Adriatico. It was also his first year that he was a bit more careful about his form. He would never forget the breakdown he had late 2013, and he'd always keep it in mind. For the first time, we saw a cautious Roberto. Of course, when it really mattered, Roberto would always be there.
Stage 1
A team time trial, not really the team's specialty.
1 | Sky Pro Cycling | 18'22 | | 2 | Rabobank Cycling Team | + 15 | | 3 | BMC Racing Team | + 21 | | 4 | Radioshack Nissan Trek | s.t. | | 5 | Movistar Team | + 44 | | 6 | Omega Pharma-Quick-Step Cycling Team | + 49 | | 7 | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | | 8 | Liquigas-Cannondale | + 53 | | 9 | FDJ-BigMat | + 1'01 | | 10 | Team Garmin-Barracuda | s.t. | | 11 | Lotto Belisol | + 1'15 | | 12 | Team Saxo Bank | s.t. | | 13 | Katusha Team | + 1'27 | | 14 | Vacansoleil-DCM Pro Cycling Team | + 1'31 | | 15 | Orica-GreenEDGE | s.t. | | 16 | Colnago - CSF Inox | + 1'37 | | 17 | Fissa Bartolo - Isd | s.t. | | 18 | Mipfre - Euskadi | + 1'48 | | 19 | Colombia Coldeportes | + 1'53 | IanButler | 20 | Acqua & Sapone | s.t.
Stage 4
Roberto wasn't in the best shape, and some riders started to dream of winning Tirreno - Adriatico, like Fränk Schleck:
At first I thought, why aren't I in Paris - Nice? I can't do anything here with Velásquez. But after the first stages, he didn't seem 100%, so I started looking upwards, to that first place.
Roberto had a chat during the race with young gun Johny Piqué, one of his greatest rivals in his career, who had just made the transfer to Sky that year.
When Gilbert attacked, Roberto wasn't seen.
In fact, when the final sprint was on, Roberto was in the back of the group. Granted, it was the front group, except from a soloing Gilbert, but still, it wasn't the Roberto from the World Championship.
Result
1 | Philippe Gilbert | BMC Racing Team | 6h31'43 | | 2 | Simon Gerrans | Orica-GreenEDGE | + 1'36 | | 3 | Joaquin Rodriguez | Katusha Team | + 1'43 | | 4 | Yoann Offredo | FDJ-BigMat | s.t. | | 5 | Alejandro Valverde | Movistar Team | s.t. | | 6 | Robert Kiserlovski | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | | 7 | Damiano Cunego | Sky Pro Cycling | s.t. | | 8 | Nick Nuyens | Sky Pro Cycling | s.t. | | 9 | Fränk Schleck | Omega Pharma-Quick-Step Cycling Team | s.t. | | 10 | Nairo Quintana | Movistar Team | s.t. | | 11 | Roberto Velásquez | Colombia Coldeportes | + 2'10 | IanButler | 12 | Moreno Moser | BMC Racing Team | + 2'18 | | 13 | Francis De Greef | BMC Racing Team | + 2'26 | | 14 | Igor Anton | Mipfre - Euskadi | s.t. | | 15 | Johnny Hoogerland | Movistar Team | s.t.
Because of the narrow roads, the group split up, so Robero lost quite some time. In the GC he was 4 minutes down to Gilbert. But, of course, if Roberto had a good day, 4 minutes wasn't even that much to him. Tirreno - Adriatico wasn't over, but Roberto had taken a minor beating:
Well, I've been training hard, so that ain't it. I'm just a bit more careful, trying to plan my season. It'll be the first time I ride 2 Grand Tours, so I can't go full gas from the start of the season. I still want some energy left when I start at the World Championships. I don't think I've disgraced my jersey today. We can't be 100% all the time. I'll be fit for the Ardennes and for the Giro, be sure of that! |

He will get form and smash everyone. Giro and Vielta win in the same season. It is going to happen.

Liege, Giro, Vuelta, WC and Lombardia - his season isn't bad because of a secondary place in Tirreno, he is just warming up.
Vincenzo Nibali - Rui Costa - Nairo Quintana - Alberto Contador - Peter Sagan
WDshirts
The Last of the Real
- Story about Dries Deckers - racing against Merckx, de Vlaeminck etc.

Well, last year the start wasn't perfect and he won Vuelta and WC. Hope that will be the same this year |

Atlantius: Nope, unfortunately not...
JuanMotr: That we do
the_hoyle: Indeed, it's only tirreno
Jakstar22: It's possible, maybe even probable
sutty68: He will, hopefully by the Ardennes Classics
Wild Dog: If he could achieve those wins, this would be quickly forgotten
ste_18: That would be great |

Tirreno - Adriatico 2014 - Stage 5
An mountain summit.
The first live feed we got, we caught Roberto on video, he wasn't looking too good. It seemed as if he was having a headache or something.
Unfortunately, our suspicions were confirmed when none of the attacks were countered by the Cannibal 2.0
Andy Schleck won, starting a great year for him.
Roberto didn't sprint. Something was definitely up. Roberto normally even sprinted when it was for the 30th place, just because he liked it so much. Duarte stayed with him during the final climb, when all the favorites passed him with ease.
Of course, I was eager to know what was going on, but they wouldn't interview him that day. I went to look for information on the team's site and there I read the following:
Roberto is feeling ill, with only 2 stages left he's determined to finish the race, but he has no further expectations. |
