I think it is a bit unfair.
Semenya is a woman, it is proven 100x, why not just let her run?!

She has no uterus and no ovaries... Is she a woman?

Check my message on the previous page.
Is there a simple answer to : what's a woman ? Or : is Semenya a woman ? |

If it would be cycling, Jamaica sprint team would have their own thread called Jamaica doping thread..... The dominance in sprinting is unbelievable, something with cadence probably

There's a bit of a discussion in Holland about the jury for the dressage. Apparently the Dutch silver-medalist Cornelissen did a flawless kür (don't know the English word), but the gold went to British rider Charlotte Dujardin, who actually made a clear mistake during her kür. Normally you'd expect the gold to be going to Cornelissen then?
Now I haven't watched it, so I don't know everything, but I wonder if anyone else seen it.
Dressage is judged, and the crowd were going mental for the Brits, so, like Boxing, she was always going to get gold.
As for Semenya, she was tested intensively, and found to be female enough to compete. Given that very few other women have been tested as much as her, we can be more confident she is female than almost any other woman.

Great stuff, I wouldn't have expected them to win it today.
I have to say I really enjoyed beachvolleyball this time, it was always fun to end an Olympic day with some hockey and beachvolleyball.
@tsmoha: I always fail to be aware of your nationality for unknown reason

Would you care if Ghana and Taiwan were playing american football with their B-squad?
I love football, but I haven't seen a single match throughout the entire Olympics. The Olympic games is the biggest event in nearly every single sport except for football. No one gives a tiny rats ass who wins.

The Olympics are a chance to finally see interesting sports on the telly. This editions hocley tournament is absolutely amazing and have brought us to 2 amazing finals.
It helps that there's always a dutch team involved, but especially the womens semi final between New Zealand and the Netherlands was one of the most exciting things I've ever seen in sports television. Hockey is just so much more exciting than football.
Like they say; if hockey were easy they'd call it football

I tend to cheer for other nations like.. ah.. Australia .. but I'm from Germany (born in Netherlands though..); and this Beachvolleyball-final was too impressive to not cheer for my compatriots.
