We've got the big queen stage tomorrow, not only do I look at how Nibali and Carapaz can successfully defend their leads, I look at the brute amount of climbers who will be hunting the stage and GC tomorrow!

Get those Tour engines warmed up! In simple words here is what will attach us to our couches these 3 weeks, a rather classical route that should be able to deliver some epic stages!

The BIG one!
I looked at the big favourites for all 4 classifications. The big favourites to wear yellow, green, polka dots and white, it's one of the highlights of the year and you should definitely be fully prepared for it!

He's not going to win pure bunch sprints but with his recent form (and overall team morale), I could see Colbrelli do special things to try and win the maillot vert. Seems to be climbing well, could be good for breaks too, my underdog for that competition. |

Have to say I would personally love it! If he can finish high on some bunch sprints it can happen for sure

The TOUR DE FRANCE is on it's way in Bretagne where a tricky hilltop finish will make for a very exciting opening day where both climbers, puncheurs and sprinters can get their hands on the first maillot jaune!

The Tour started off with an absolutely chaotic stage and a vicious hilltop finish and tomorrow we have round number 2! Climbers vs sprinters vs puncheurs vs... Julian.

Some riders deserve our whole respect. Ignatas Konovalovas is one of them and inspired in his stage today I wrote this piece on the valuable role domestiques have in the peloton.

After a couple of very exciting finales the race will finally settle... or will it? Surely that won't be the case tomorrow, a flat day for the peloton but one with wind, rain and a very dangerous finale in Pontivy.

Mathieu van der Poel is perhaps the rider that is bringing a much needed spark back into cycling the most. Although sometimes questionable, and outright crazy, his style of racing represents what the new generation is doing to road cycling's script!

It has been a chaotic race so far and tomorrow comes another chance to possibly settle it down. A pan-flat stage in Bretagne, the final one, that should see the fast men once again battle it out for the win.

Tomorrow is a very important day for the GC as the climbers, the time-trialists and those looking to finish the day off in yellow will have a massive battle in the opening time-trial!

We return to the sprints as the race seems to be finally calming down. In Châteauroux tomorrow another bunch sprint is expected before we go onto the first set of dificult stages.

The long flat stages are over. Tomorrow we have a long flat stage.. WITH a dangerous and quite explosive finale in what is the longest TDF stage in decades! Also, we go for breakaway bingo!

I’m wondering whether van der Poel decides to go on the break or waits in the bunch tomorrow. Don’t think they will let him go with ease, though. |

The damage has been big but believe it or not only tomorrow does the race enter the mountains! And straight in the Alps with a sharp and rainy stage that's set to put big gaps within the GC!

I forgot another critical factor: if van Aert joined the break, of course van der Poel would go too. |

The second and final day in the Alps, Tignes awaits the peloton after what is another wet vicious climbing day, another breakaway vs Pogacar day!
