On paper thats a horrible trade for Pens, but i think Hörnqvist can score a boatload next to Sid/Malkin and at the same time im not sure Neal will do so good without them. |

It frees up lots of Cap Space and gives them 3rd/4th line player as well as 2nd line and Powerplay capable player which is basically what Neal is too, although Hornqvist is not quite on the level of Neal.

And the Penguins have cap issues ofc. Still hope they don't sign Niskanen so we can steal him

valverde - Thats why i said on paper, i think its a good trade by Pens actually. Guessing that ze internetz is exploding though. I think Neal will be found out now, he's not an elite forward like he's made out to be. Hörnqvist will score almost as much and add some other good things to the team and Spaling will be a decent depth player. |

Nah, Neal was great in Dallas before being traded to Pittsburgh. I think he'll do well there, probably get 30+ goals. Goalscoring isn't an issue for the Pens though.

valverde - I don't doubt he will score some goals but his all-round play isn't that good and Hörnqvist might score 30+ when finally playing with a good center (even an elite one  ). |

Wanted Honka as well. Seems my own opinions on players are similar to actual GM's valuations. Perlini was too early imo.
