After that stage i think Froome will win vuelta. On the much longer climbs purito must crack.
Did you wwatch the Giro?
You know, there's a difference between racing against Hesjedal and Scarponi than racing against Froome and Contador, probably the two best climbers at the moment.

The bigger question now is will Contador's form improve enough by the end of the Vuelta?

I doubt he's worried about the hugh mountains probably the 40km TT were he will be worried judging by the 4min he lost over 45km last year. |

The TT has a cat 3 climb, and the descent is technical. He'll limit his losses.

Plus, his TT has improved since last year. And also, he peaked way, way too early then. We all remember his collapse in the final week.

I predict Contadope and Insectifroome will rebound after the rest day.

Well, he showed what is normal for a rider who hasn't raced for 6 months. Think he is doing a great job. He sayed he had cramps because of dehydration and couldn't follow Rodriguez and Froome.
I believe he'll get in better shape in the last week. At least, he has showed the most guts of all riders, with numerous (unsuccesful) attacks. And I prefer that above the way Rdriguez is riding: wheelsucking until the last couple of hundred metres and then sprinting...... Not my favourite kind of riding.

I know he was more human today I don't think you can blame Rodriguez' style today because it was like suicide to go earlier when Henao and Uran were doing the pace.

He was in 2010. But what changed from there? He didn't change team, he didn't change name, he didn't change number. So, what did change? |

Contador will bounce back, and he will shoot with silver bullets. |

It'll take more than El Pistorelo's Bullets to stop Froome pumping the blood (or whatever aliens produce) around his otherworldly body. Besides it sure didn't seem to stop LeMond... |
