@Avin W: We already arrived in Greece and there seem to be no demonstrations And I agree, this Giro should be very entertaining!
@baia: Under pressure, that's what we wanted Duarte did very well in his last three GT's, but he also made us all hope for a podium now!
@dienblad: "Unfortunately", this weekend will be quite busy in terms of friends and work, so my focus on this Giro has to wait til monday..

Nice startlist, Contador there, so we will see if i was right that he was playing mind-games with the opponents. Good luck Fabio to be on the podium for the first time, Nibali will be tough to beat

Note: I told you before, that I'm facing a busy weekend, so don't expect the first reports before monday! In between, I may post some very short rider-previews..
Thank you all for the comments! It's a nice startlist and I'm looking forward to battle against Italy's best stage-racers like Nibali, Cunego, Basso or Scarponi! And, just like Avin W said, it will be interesting to see if Contador is in shape now..
..Contador was disappointing in his Giro-preparation at Tour de Romandie.. is he still in bad shape because of his early-season injury? He will aim for the Giro trophy, that's for sure, but there's still a question-mark behind his fitness..

Tsmoha looking forward to this mate, Contador's lack of fitness really opens the door for Duarte. Though Nibali is going to be tough to beat of course.
Conta's squad is ridiculous as well Bates, McEwen, Farrar, Goss Haussler surely they could have picked one of the last three and Bates and McEwen are surely washed up by now. Cunego and Nibalu's squads look class though.

@all: Thank you guys! Nice to get those feedback, even though I'm too busy to start the reports atm
@Smowz: Thanks, mate! I hope you're right about Contador.. his lack of fitness may effect especially his first week here, yes.. Nibali will be as strong as last year and with our good old friend Rujano, he has some nice support.. better support than Conta at GreenEdge You're totally right about their pretty useless "sprint-squad"..
Here's a next, short preview:
Defending champion Vincenzo Nibali is maybe the biggest favourite again, as Contador's fitness is still a question! The local hero Nibali has a new team in 2013 (UniCredit) and some pretty good support in former Dark Dog José Rujano.. we may see some great battles in the mountains and we can expect Nibali to fight for the win there:

Yeah, I know.. I'm sorry for this lack of updates! Unfortunately, I have to finish a homework (university) before christmas, because I will be on holiday in january.. I already played the first few stages, but had no time for the reports yet. I know, this came at an unpropitious moment right before the Giro Hope, you will stay tuned as soon as I hit the Giro!
