Asselman takes the Ronde van Drenthe after a late attack. Tim Ariesen comes 2nd, Groenewegen wins the pack sprint for third. LottoNL absolute rubbish aside from Groenewegen.

Dupont wins Nokere Koerse in front of Kristoffer Halvorsen and Dylan Groenwegen after a nice timed sprint, however as Halvorsen started his sprint a bit later, it became a bit close in the end. Halvorsen looks like a promising talent, I think that he in the future can challenge for some wins, what do you think?

Baska with a great win in Handzame Classic, Groenewegen the best sprinter again but Lotto NL just can't set him up well, either they have him horribly places so he has to come from behind or like now he had to go super early, still held on for 2nd i think with Meersman in 3rd. |

Perhaps Nippo should try to actually help Grosu get in a good position for the sprint instead of attacking with 2 guys in the last kilometers of the race.

Well, i wont hype him, but Baska aint nobody though..really nice sprint talent. He has won the European championship road race in 2015 in front of guys like Martinelli or Van Rooy. He is more of a pure sprinter an not a level of Sagan in terms of talent, but i can see him becoming a very good sprinter in WT.

Yesterday Turgis won, thanks to Cofidis domination.
Barbier wins in Cholet, Coquard crashed.

Al Nasr Dubai also wins the first three stages of the next Algerian race International d'Annaba.
This is the 19th consecutive win in Algeria by them taking every single stage, classic and GC and possibly also all the jerseys.
Wackermann, Vaitkus, Barbari and Abelouache win massively while Rubio also got one.
They clearly are a couple of levels above all other teams, which might really be frustrated by now.
Possibly there should be a bet for the next Algerian stages. |

Bora Argon 18 finally with their first win 2016. Sam Bennett clearly the best sprinter in this field takes the opening stage. Later today the short TT and tomorrow the mountain stage live on ESP.
Favourites probably a lot of French riders Pinot, Peraud, Geniez, Vuillermoz, Rolland, Coppel, Jeannesson.
Few non French (talents) might go for a good GC as well such as Oomen, Buchmann, Herklotz, Konrad, Craddock Oram, Smith.

Another interesting race that is going on is Coppi e Bartali which is Mikel's first race of the season. He did very well considering his build up so far so he will be ready for Il Giro. There is another hard stage tomorrow, hopefully he will even improve more.
A hugely interesting prospect, Egan Bernal at 19, in that same race, was about to win the mountainous stage yesterday before crashing. I have never, ever seen a guy get this much hype from a few posters, so I will look to find him in the results tomorrow as well. Should be a once in a generation. |

I guess Bernal has just got lost under the tsunami of exciting Colombian talents that are coming up at the moment. Not only do you have Superman López, Gaviria and Contreras who are getting the most hype (in particular the first two), but there is a wealth of other guys - particularly on the Manzana Postobón team that is venturing into Europe this year - for example Hernan Aguirre, Aldemar Reyes, Bernardo Suaza and Hernando Bohorquez but also Daniel Felipe MartÃnez who finished 8th in Utah last year aged 18 and so on. So yeah, I'm very excited about Bernal, he seems to have popped out of the blue this season with no real results from Colombia (I guess because he seems to come from a MTB background) but he looks really promising - often it seems to take Colombians a season or two to adjust to European racing but he's right up there already. All aboard the hype train!
EDIT: I might have misinterpreted what you were saying - were you saying that you were surprised he wasn't being hyped more or that he's been hyped massively?

I said he had been hyped massively by a few posters, so you were right! Apparently he was flying yesterday, but crashed. Too bad, but he can still show it tomorrow.
But yeah, the Columbia scene is insane atm. Like, really, fricken insane |

Pinot improved year for year. Already last season he had mainly pretty good time trials. He was 4th in the same TT last year.
Looking forward for Oomen tomorrow. Strong performance today. Huge talent. |

Not only Pinot, but FDJ as a team has improved a lot in TTs. Seven of their eight riders finished top 20 in today's time trial.
