Indeed you can, if you are good enough, you can lose 6.
last that kind of rider was doped Pantani at Giro..and even he time trialed himself inside top. 10
True. Was about to answer that Heras has won multiple GT's while losing big time in the TT's but even he regularly top 10'd Vuelta TT's.

Just a little slower than Basso and Nibali n 2010 and about 45 seconds slower than RoboBasso in 2006 Basso-Nibali-Scarponi 2010 were only 7 seconds slower than Basso 2006.And Conta was 37''slower than Basso-Nibali-Scarponi 2010.So Conta is not on his top form or he is declining |

You must not forget that Contador was forced to chase Astana before and at the feet of the climb. Maybe without this, the time would be better |

Ya that one blew my mind as well.
Cycling used to be such a good sport when it came to those unwritten sportsmanship rules.
But considering Astana and all their doping cases and Vino´s past, i cant say that it surprises me that they also say F you to those rules. |

Someone should tell him that it's not good team spirit to attack your captain either |

Vuelta 2012: his Sky domestiques Flecha and Stannard ride red jersey Valverde off the road and continue racing.

Aye, someone should tweet that to him. Like I said before, fairplay is only cool when it suits one.

Marginal memory, it seems.
Do you think we'll be seeing any more action from Contador this Giro since he's got it in the bag? Perhaps he'll let Landa get the odd second and stage win, but I think the smartest move is to spend as little energy as possible.
