Missed today's stage.
Sounds like Costa was really good, Mollema looks very strong as well!

Also, 73th for Kelderman is really, really bad. What the f*ck happened? Frown

Kelderman had nothing to ride for, I think he just didn't feel like pushing himself too much.

He remembered he was a Dutch cyclist riding for Blanco.

Most Dutch riders riding for Blanco are doing well these daysPfft.

Okay, that'd be it Wink
Hoped he'd really go for it though, Top 10 should've been a possibility, though not sure about his form..

I'm so happy for Rui, he really deserves it.

Despite the stage being 160kms shorter and not having two climbs before it this time, the fastest climbing time was over a minute slower.

The 2008 winner finished 1:12 down, if someone can check his intermediate times to see how fast he climbed I'd appreciate it.

You couldn't pick a worse day to say that... they do really well this month

You think Rui doped?

Spilak23
Igor Anton.

Foot of the climb: 20'01

Top: 53'49

=> 33'48 for the climb

2008: 31'56

Costa and Jeanneson were fastest on the climb today at 33'02

The exact opposite. He would have finished 16th in 2008 between Moos and Ten Dam. Even slower actually cause he would have been tired from the 160 previous kms

Ok, thought he was 1 minute quicker. But that is really remarkable. I thought he rode very well today, but I think you can't really compare a TT with a normal stage.

Spilak23
BUT (Rather important). All riders changed bikes between intermediate and finish so take off 15-30 seconds

Ian Butler
Still, It's a big difference. 2008 might've been one doped ride Pfft

For the gaps on the climb :
https://twitter.c...3907098624
https://twitter.c...0754709504

And then :

So, 5,87 W/kg during 30 minutes, means 411 W standard. Not much given the conditions, rather reassuring.

And if anyone wants to match the gaps with 2008 :
https://www.cqrank...aceid=7868

Given Costa's time would only have gotten him the 25th time on that stage, draw your conclusions about :
1. ANTON HERNANDEZ Igor
2. KIRCHEN Kim
3. CUNEGO Damiano
4. SCHLECK Fränk
5. ZAUGG Oliver
6. KREUZIGER Roman
7. DEVOLDER Stijn
8. LÖFKVIST Thomas
9. SCHLECK Andy
10. KLÖDEN Andreas
11. IVANOV Serguei
12. BOTCHAROV Alexandre
13. KNEES Christian
14. ALBASINI Michael
15. MOOS Alexandre
16. TEN DAM Laurens
17. TSCHOPP Johann
18. STALDER Florian
19. TIRALONGO Paolo
20. MORENO FERNANDEZ Daniel
21. ROELANDTS Jürgen
22. FOTHEN Markus
23. KANGERT Tanel
24. YAKOVLEV Serguei
25. CAUCCHIOLI Pietro

gotlandrules
From that list atleast 80% was doped, maybe more. Hope Löfkvist was clean (but honestly looking at his development curve i have my doubts)

cio93
What the fuck is Roelandts doing on that list? Grin

Wilier
That was back when Devolder could climb. I remember those times.

This is just wonderful, congratulations Rui Costa. Banana

So many attacks! And groups...maybe that can explain the time they did.
