I have never seen a that great german international season performance since 1996/1997. Unbelievable.
Even though it's just the first leg game.
And well since the UEFA Cup KO rounds were replaced by the ... Europe League, I don't care about the former UEFA Cup.

I never understood why well-paid players in a CL semi-final, or any other game of high importance, would need extra motivation to give their very best under any circumstances.

Well, the best german striker is not even on the team... He is just ignoring Kießling completely and continues to rely on Gomez who really isnt that good.
Afterall, all gomez does is loosing the ball and pushing the ball into the net. Kießling creates chances and still scores goals!
