LOL, you're right.
Yep, thought it was pretty funny as well
! And about Ciolek, don't forget that he was in form, winning 2 mass sprints in the last week of the Vuelta and has a pretty decent Hill-stat of 75.

No report about the Circuit Franco Belge. Why? Because everyday, all 4 stages, the BOTD won the stage with a gap of more than 10 minutes to the peloton. No team wanted to chase, so I decided that our team should be lazy as well.
In the 1st stage, Paul Martens won the sprint, and because the gap to the peloton was bigger than in the 2nd to 4th stage, Martens took the GC-win. The other stages were won by Samuel Dumoulin (his 13th win of the season, he has the most wins of the season so far!), Maarten Wynants and Aurélien Passeron. Both Peter Sagan and Jens Mulder won 1 peloton sprint.

September review
Summary
What a strange month it was. First, the fantastic Vuelta with 6 stage wins and Gesink dominating all rankings, and of course a great Dekke rin the Canadian classics and Breschel winning in Wallonie, but also the announcement of my retiring after this season.
Rankings
World Tour riders
With the 2nd place in the Vuelta, Albert Contador stays in the lead of the World Tour ranking. Robert Gesink is now in 2nd with his team mate Wilco Kelderman in 3rd.
World Tour teams
No doubt what team is the best this season! Thanks to a great Vuelta with 5 stage wins and a 2nd and 3rd in the GC, Movistar jumps past Radio Shack to 2nd.
Continental Tour riders
13 wins in the season bring Samuel Dumoulin the 1st place so far, with Daniele Callegarin in the 2nd place. Elia Rigotto has jumped to the 3rd place.
Continental Tour teams
No change here: Team Type 1 is leading FDJ and M&M's.
CQ riders
The same ranking as the WT: Contador in 1st, Gesink in 2nd and Kelderman in 3rd.
CQ teams
ANd also this ranking is the same as the WT: Petrona s Monster Energy in 1st, Movistar in 2nd and Radi Shack in 3rd.
Wins riders
Yep, a CT rider with the most wins of the season! Samuel Dumoulin has a great year with 13 wins. Fabian Cancellara and ALberto COntador follow with 12.
Wins teams
No changes here: Petronas - Monster Energy with the most wins (44), followed by Team Sky (41) and Movistar (41).
One more month to go in this season and this story, so better hold on thight!!

The Race
A 13-rider BOTD takes a margin of a few minutes, but they get caught with about 10km to go. We form our train in these last 10km, and especially Maxim Lefevre and Matti Breschel do a fantastic job in deliviring Marcel Kittel in a great position to launch his sprint. The former German champion has absolutely no problems with his opponents and wins the Sparkassen Giro Münsterland. Enrico Rossi finishes in 2nd with lead out man Breschel taking the 3rd place.

Coppa Sabatini
For our team, the Italian autumn classics begin with the Coppa Sabatini, a hilly classic race near Peccioli. Last year, our young Gregory Bernard had his breakthrough with a surprising win.
Route
A lot of hills near Peccioli in the region of Toscana form the classic of the Coppa Sabatini.

The Race
A 14-rider BOTD gets a lot of minutes, a lot... The Italian teams can't close the gap, so we start to chase them with 2 laps, = 25km, to go. But the margin is 5 minutes. With 1 lap to go, it's 2 and a half minutes, but that's too much with just 12km to .
So the BOTD can sprint for the win and it's Katusha's Giampaolo Caruso who takes the win. Crescenzo D'Amore (Farnese Vini) take sthe 2nd place, with Raffaele De Rosa (Team Type 1) in 3rd. Peter Sagan overtakes some former BOTD-riders in the uphill sprint and finishes in 11th place.

Great to see the DS keeping at 100% until retirement. Hope the team can win the final race for him. Petronas surely kicked some ass this year, looking at the team rankings! |

Tour of Beijing
We have arrived in China for the 4th edition of the only Asian World Tour race, the Tour of Beijing. The season has been long and heavy, lots of riders only participate because the sponsors want them to, and the question is who will be the successor of Philippe Gilbert, who has won the Tour of Beijing the previous 2 years.

Stage 2
The short and steep hill 11km before the finish soaked a little bit too much energy out of Marcel Kittel, as he had to come back from behind, and had no energy left to compete for the win.
The battle for the win was between 2 other German sprinters. André Greipel was on his way to his 1st season win, but got passed by the newly crowned World champ Gerald Ciolek in the last 100 metres. JJ Rojas took the 3rd place, and Kittel the 8th.
The Results
1 | Gerald Ciolek | Red Bull - Cervélo | 2h59'18 | 2 | André Greipel | Qantas Airways | s.t. | 3 | José Joaquín Rojas | Movistar Team | s.t. | 4 | Francesco Gavazzi | Rabobank Cycling Team | s.t. | 5 | Romain Feillu | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step | s.t. | 6 | John Degenkolb | Sony Ericsson | s.t. | 7 | Francisco José Ventoso | Euskaltel - Euskadi | s.t. | 8 | Marcel Kittel | Petronas - Monster Energy | s.t. | 9 | Tyler Farrar | Garmin - Barracuda | s.t. | 10 | Mark Cavendish | Sky ProCycling | s.t. |

Kittel seems in good shape this late in the season.
But good for Ciolek to show his jersey |
