I will set up another thread with a poll. I don't want to pollute this story-thread with it. So everyone who wants to can vote there
The thread can be found here:

Leaving 2013
Due to his total breakdown, and the support he got from the entire team, he broke contract with his new team, Astana, and resigned for at least a year with Team Colombia Coldeportes. He had a severe penalty to pay for this, but the team stepped up and said he was definitely worth it.
His main helper Atapuma did not prolong his contract, so the team attracted Rui Costa (from Movistar), as a helper/free element.
Roberto Velásquez' standings 2013:
UCI World Tour: 1st place
CQ Ranking: 1st place
Victories: 19
Vélo d'Or:
Roberto was unable to attend, due to his illness. Best friend and (former) teammate Atapuma received the reward on his behalf:
Roberto wishes to thank everyone for a great year. He's recovering well and I can assure you, he'll be there next year.
Ending 2013. Thanks for (still) being with us! |

Sad to see Atapuma leaving. (Why not extend his contract with an editor? )
Gratz on Velo d'Or!
Vincenzo Nibali - Rui Costa - Nairo Quintana - Alberto Contador - Peter Sagan
WDshirts
The Last of the Real
- Story about Dries Deckers - racing against Merckx, de Vlaeminck etc.

And I applaud you for that, really
It's incredible that you follow any active story on this site. It's a real boost for new story writers, when they know there's at least someone following closely Great work, it must take up quite some time. I try to follow a great deal myself, but to be honest, I don't have the energy to follow every single one of them
Hope you enjoy Roberto's story |

I have a lot of time on my hands at the moment due to not being able to work because of a major operation i had a couple of years ago and the complications i have had since
I like following the stories and giving everybody as much encouragement as i can
Oh and YES i really do like Roberto's story a lot, keep up the Great work |

sutty68: Thanks a lot! I hope the complications work out well...
fcancellara: Well said
FreitasPCM: Thanks
JuanMotr: He'll have some free time, sure I think I'll divide the burden of work between him and Nieve and other riders. Roberto is more like Contador than Wiggins, he doesn't need 8 helpers in the mountains, one is enough, he can even do without if necessary |

Excuse me if i'm late but i would really like to have Roberto in Colombia because it would be nice if he was a legend that always was faithful to his team. And to build up the team with good riders around it would be great. But to get a new sponsor would also be okay. |

Congratulations with the win in Lombardia! - Taking the Velo d'or seems quite derseved due to such fantastic season
Good luck going into 2014
