Salvatore Puccio | Season Review
FreitasPCM
Thomas rode very well, good classics from the team. Smile And Puccio rode extremely well in both of them. Wink

ste_18
Again a great race for the team, this time with Geraint. Gasparotto today was simply invincible. Puccio did good again....Still waiting for the final choice!

Jakstar22
Thomas had a fantastic sprint fr 2nd. But Gasporotto was never going to lose.

andy222c
@All: Thanks! Gasparotto was simply too strong to deal with, and with Astana flying that high, 2nd for Thomas is a great result. He should be able to make a good result in the World's.

I'll soon release the final contract publishing from Puccio. I've already wrote the report, but i'll be waiting a little time before uploading it (just to keep the suspense high Pfft)

Dear blog readers!

It has been a while since i first began talking about my future contract situation, due to my expiring contract with Sky. Together with my great personal manager Giovanni, i have been negotiating with several teams for a very long time. After an astonishing season, which isn't even over yet, i was in a great position, where i had the opportinity to almost pick and choose from every team i wanted to go to.

It has been a long road with several difficulties, but i have finally signed my new 2013 contract. It started out dreadfully with an extremly terrible meeting with Dave Brailsford, which ended all possibilities for me to stay at Sky. But as the days went by, a lot of teams saw me as a potential signing.

In August, last month, Giovanni and I agreed on which of the contract-offers who seemed most profitable for me, with several including factors. Three offers was what it came down to, and one of the teams will be my homeground from next season. Take a look below.

The final three contract offers

The choice has been very difficult for me, since all three offers contains some really valueable and great specifications. It is also three very different teams, even with one being Pro Continental, and two belonging to the World Tour, with very different team rosters.

But i have made up my mind, and when reflecting over my decision, i am not the slightest in doubt, that i have chosen the right place to be.

Dare to look?
Spoiler

That was it! I hope you're as glad for my choice as i am. Undoubtly i will be looking forward to the next season with this move lying ahead of me. But first, i'll have to finish the ongoing season. I'm still under contract with Sky, and has to fulfill my racing schedule for the rest of the year, with the same loyality as i usually does.

I'll be having a short break from racing now, and will first start racing again in October for some one day classics in Italy. See you out there!

Greetings Salvatore

Best choice imo, happy about it. Smile Next year he will shine in the Italian classics, Pozzato will be in his shadow! Pfft

He will surely have some opportunities at Farnese Wink

I'm not gonna say good choice until I see what races Farnese will ride. If he misses the Ardennes, it will be a bad decision.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Yeah, I agree about that.. Being PCT is a major drawback... Still, he will get plenty of opportunities, lets just hope that Farnese gets the wildcards they want...

Great to see that Salvatore's future has been sorted out Smile

Hope he will enjoy his time with Farnese Wink

I'm so happy he has chosen Farnese-Vini! Hope he could get the wildcards in the Ardennes! Now the question is will he take part to Giro?Smile

valverde321
That layout is amazing! Good choice in Farnese, the offer was the best for Salvatore, but Vacansoleil would have been a decent choice too, since they are a bit of a classics team, but then again, there would be more depth in Salvatore's strengths.

andy222c
@All: Thank you everybody! Puccio's choice seems to have been accepted by most, and i'm sure that he'll convince everyone that Farnese Vini was the right decision.

I'm going to play the World's in just a minute. I'm not sure whether i'll make reports for both races, or elaborate on the outcome of the races in the monthly review of September. We'll see, and thank you once again! Wink
