Rodriquez in 10th after four flat stages. That is nothing short of huge for him and the race for the overall!
But since Rodriguez is as consistent as quick sand in the mountains he will never win. He always has 2 bad days at least. Even in high mountains |

So Team Saxo Bank so far: Number 4 on stage 1, number 2 on stage 3, number 4 on TTT (stage 4).
I guess they are not so bad afterall. Way to go Team Saxo Bank, one of the best teams in the race so far imo. |

Am I the only one who thinks that Gianni Savio is just unbelivably Italian?

Expect attacks from Rujano and Gadret in the mountains, I hope. |

Rujano will go ballistic in the mountains, no doubt. This probably applies to Pozzovivo too if he hasn't crashed out/got an injury/got ill/whatever of those things Domenico likes to do in the Giro.

in the end, Henao didn't drop, but it was Stannard. Sky's initial report was wrong. Oh well.
As for Rujano, he had a flat tire which cost him 30 secnds (you can't draft back via cars like in a normal stage + the team has to go to almost a stand still)... That's costly
on teh 2nd split androni were +26 seconds faster than AG2R and with a good last part they probably would've won 35/40 secnds on them. Now Rujano flatted and it was +1 second... so clearly...bad luck

What happened to Jack Bobridge? I haven't seen the stage, but he lost about 40 seconds compared to the rest of his team. Was he doing all the work or just having a bad day? |

Giro is his first race after Aussie Nats this year He was doing track for the rest of year and had some injuries in between. So with only 3 days on road he's in a bad shape

Apparently Vaughters uses PCM's default selection AI to choose his lineups

Nice to see Hesjedal up in the standings. That helps his top ten hopes, maybe even a top 5.
I have wishes too!

Rodriguez and Hesjedal in great positions now, also good TT for Basso, Kreuziger and Lampre duo. Gadret,Pozzo and Rujano will need to start the show in the mountains, still i dont believe in them for the final podium, especially Pozzo will find a way to fail imo.

Marco Pinotti @marcopinotti
I've done many team TT and I can guarantee with @taylorphinney at full strength we'd won today hands down.
Jonathan Vaughters @Vaughters
@marcopinotti I can guarantee if my Aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.
Marco Pinotti @marcopinotti
@Vaughters you are right congratulations!

His form didnt look that bad. It did look more that he had mental problems going full gas in the corners on the tt machine. Then needed to invest a lot to close the gap again. Might have to do with his tt crash. |
