Thought I might let you know about the Cyanide Trophy. Alejandro Valverde. You know the 34 year old guy that has had an amazing season that's decided to retire?? Yes...good. Well he won the Cyanide Trophy....Honestly! He was first in the CYA World Tour and won 25 races. He won ahead of Nairo. Nairo won the Giro and Vuelta and made history for himself while doing so. He also came 4th in Worlds (Although Valverde beat him there). Nairo was 2nd in the CYA World Tour as well and came 2nd in the Cyanide Trophy. I guess Nairo likes coming 2nd....3rd place was Alberto Contador who is now on Bancolombia-Movistar...haha domination for that team right there! He won the Tour de France and came 3rd in the CYA World Tour and that's about it. Really don't know how he came 3rd in the Cyanide Trophy. But anyway congratulations you 3.
Later everyone
Dayer Quintana OUT!!

Not been here for a while but what a great end to the season. Vuelta was fantastic, nice win in Canada and such a shame that Nairo missed out on the medals. Some strong transfers joining the team

Do we have any Garmin-Sharp fans in the house??? You know how they changed their secondary sponsor like every year?? Good...you haven't been living under a rock. Well apparently that's what we do now too...
The new name of the team as of next season is
Honestly, I don't know why we changed again but at least the jersey looks good. It'll be released at the Australian Championships next year.

3rd January 2015
So you guys are probably wondering where I was? Well It's me again...Nairo Quintana. I decided that after the end of last season that I had to get away from everything. I went home to Colombia but I didn't go to see my family, I went to the graveyard where my dad was buried. I literally sat there talking to dad every day for about a week until I finally got the courage to go home. I wanted to see my brother only to find that he was already in Spain signing a contract with Bancolombia – Movistar or as it is called now Petronas Cycling Team. So we are now a Malaysian team with its HQ in Spain and no Malaysian riders...interesting.
So anyway I am really sorry I disappeared on you all like that. I'm glad my brother took over this blog while I was gone or you wouldn't have heard anything for a long time.
So the team is basically the same but with a few additions which Dayer already told you about. The team jersey is pretty cool. Its by a designer named Deksel. We are very pleased with the jersey. The goals are about the same as last year. We have to come top 3 in the Giro and the Tour and win the Vuelta. It is interesting this year though. So I am the big leader of the team. I'll be leading the Tour de France for the second time. Benat Intxausti will be leading the Giro d'Italia which will be interesting. I'm sure he will be able to get a top 3 there maybe even win! Contador is going to be leading the Vuelta which should be a piece of cake for him to win. Home soil and if the same field from last year goes it should be easy for him. Intxausti will also be racing the Tour de France to support me on the climbs. It'll be a very interesting year for the team. I am going to put my objectives and fitness schedule below as well. It might give you a bit of an insight on my season as well as my stats asof the the start of the 2015 season.
Brief Overview of the Leader Training Program
Alright so what the Leader Training Program is all the top riders (Contador, Intxausti, Rojas Gil, Burghardt, Visconti and me) each take 1 rider under their wing and basically train with them and teach them everything that they know. Eventually these riders will become leader's in their respective fields. It is a great new program for the team and I am excited to help train up the future of cycling. I'll put who is with who below.
Nairo Quintana | - | Aritz Pajaron | Alberto Contador | - | Rohan Dennis | Benat Intxausti | - | George Bennett | Jose Jaquin Rojas Gil | - | Leigh Ridenton | Marcus Burghardt | - | Manfred Reeker | Giovanni Visconti | - | Festus Call |
We may add more or change them around but that is the partners for now. I am happy with my trainee. He works hard all the time, a lot of that has been helping me out, he also is a great guy to spend time with. He is funny and always has a smile on his face. So I am really looking forward to teaching this guy and spending a lot of time with him.
That's all for now. I will report the Australian Championships for you were Leigh Ridenton is going to try and repeat his performance from last year.
Seeya soon
Nairo

Thanks Sutty!!
And glad you chose to read my story Tamijo!! It does take a lot of time but I have raced up to July in 2015 so I am playing quite a bit ahead. Reports are a lot slower these days as I am working quite often now but I am hoping to speed them up a bit more and bring you the Tour de France of 2015!!
And yeh I have been playing PCM for quite a while though. Trust me the more you play PCM the better you get and you can change difficulty. I think I will be changing to extreme soon and then I will get beaten but we will have to see.

Hey guys
So I am reporting the Aus Champs even though I'm Colombian...anyway Leigh Ridenton is the previous winner so he would love to win again. Rohan Dennis is our leader though but Ridenton is sprinter and is free to do what he wishes.
A hilly race around Buninyong as usual. 160.2km in length. It will be an exciting race.
A much bigger team then last year. They are all here to help Ridenton and Dennis.
Karl Menzies and Jonathon Cantwell are the 2 early escapees. Cantwell is showing off the new Petronas jersey.
Once the gap got past 6 minutes Palmer got on the front and started bringing back the breakaway.
With 48km to go Sulzberger and McCarthy join Cantwell and Menzies at the front of the race. They are only 1.20 ahead of the peloton.
Gerrans attacked. Ridenton tried to follow.
5km to go and this is how it looked. Goss, Evans, Matthews and Gerrans are in the front group. About 32 seconds behind is Ridenton and about 1.40 behind Ridenton is the peloton.
3km to go and Ridenton and Porte had both caught up making it a group of 6. Ridenton has gotten energy back. He can still win this. He is up against sprinters like Matthews and Goss but he has hope.
1km to go and Goss is leading ahead of Matthews and Ridenton.
But its Matthews who is too strong for Goss and Ridenton.

Well I spoke to Ridenton after and he was happy with the result. “Last year was against a climber this year it was against 2 pure sprinters which is completely different. A 3rd place against these riders means more to me then my win last year.”
Well Ridenton is a happy man.
Seeya

17th February 2015
Hey everyone!
How you all been?
So we are now in February and I am about to start racing my first race of the season. This is I think one of the only races that I will be racing with Alberto Contador. We are still unsure who the leader is out of Contador and I. I guess we will see tomorrow after the hill stage. I am prepared to work if I need to but we'll see.
A strong team here to help us in the hills. I am looking forward to riding in the new kit and equipment. I'll seeya for the TT!
A short flat TT. Contador will definitely get a better position then me today.
Pajaron was the first of our team. Just in case you forgot he is Spanish TT Champion!
The favourite for the day, Alex Dowsett.
I went down the start ramp as the last rider.
I crossed the line in 30th, 23 seconds down on Luis Leon Sanchez.

18th February 2015
Hey Guys
After yesterdays stage I am feeling pretty good about today. Contador may be in better form but I am better in the hills and mountains. Let's hope I can show the team that I am still worth how much I get paid.
Its a pretty crazy stage today. 167.3km in length going over large hills all day.
Will be an interesting stage today. I just want to beat Contador.
Call attacked on the first categorised climb.
Call reached the breakaway with 90km to go. They have a gap of 6.31
With 10km to go L.L Sanchez, Sanchez and Costa were 53 seconds ahead of the next group which Contador and myself were in.
Contador attacked with 8km to go.
Contador couldn't quite catch up and takes 3rd place. Costa narrowly beats out Sammy Sanchez in the sprint.

I'm pretty happy with my performance. I am not in great form so I started working for Contador near the end of the stage. He is close to taking the overall lead so I hope by the end of the race he will have the yellow jersey on his shoulder's. I was so surprised when I saw that Luis Leon Sanchez had abandoned.
Seeya tomorrow
Nairo
