Of course not, that would be smart. Breukink may be a lot of things, but you can never accuse him of being smart

Ah, I thought I really hadn't been playing attention. |

I just found out that I had betted on Contador as the winner of the Vuelta! I was sure I had picked both Rodriguez for both points and overall!
Oh happy days!
I have J-Rod for points and Alberto for overall. Even better, i will have some pcms again at least
Edit: About the sprinters, imo anyone from the sprinting stars could get a lot of wins in Spain if present. Dekenkolb seems like the only one from the top tier. I am looking forward to the next year for him, if he gets some chances against top sprinters in form.

What do you think? Will Rodriguez try something today? The finish is uphill, 2km around 4,5% and also before there are some small climbs |

Hopefully but I suspect he will try to save himself for Bola del Mundo. This sort of finish probably favours Valverde more, so Purito might just try to avoid losing more time to him.

I don't think that slight rise is enough to drop sprinters like Degenkolb, Bennati and Swift. They're all pretty good on shorter climbs, especially when the gradient is easy like today.
Then again, you never know with Valverde in short uphill finishes.

David Harmon: "What can Swift do after yesterday's stage?"
Sean Kelly: "He just has to sprint faster."
I love these two as commentators

Quite a boring stage don't you think?
Just 2 BA riders and the pack doesn't have great pace.
To much Vuelta or saving for tomorrow?

Sean Kelly has really grown on me over the years, probably helped by me now reliably being able to understand what he's saying - did I tune in or has his Irish accent gradually declined??? |

One other thing he could do is use a higher gear and pedal faster. I used to tease younger guys at my club with that but now they all get it. Used to be fun as hell to see them actually thinking it.

They're better than the portuguese ones. They call Degenkolb, Djejenkolb and they called Cameron Meyer Christopher Meyer. |

Still better than Liggett who calls every major stage racer Armstrong at least once per year.

The portugueses commentators keep saying that Vinokourov won the Vuelta in 2008 and tha Andy Schleck attacked with 50km to go on the 2010 Tour. Facepalm myself. |
