Unavoidable for Gesink, because no other major GC contender crashes as much as him, except maybe Piti. No sorry, I don't buy the bad luck argument. And I don't believe in god.
Everyone their own beliefs.
Of course, to each his won. I hope Gesink can learn from his mistakes (or stop having bad luck ) and destroy any possible discussion. It's not like he's short of talent.

Can they?
Almost every talent that comes throught the Rabo youth team doesn't reach expectations
A lot of dutch guys say it's Rabobank screwing up their development, but with guys that go to other teams instead of the main Rabo, the hit/miss ratio is about the same, so I'd say it's probably that Rabo does such a great job they are close to their development limit by the time they turn pro.
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified

But there are some exceptions too. I think Kruijswjik exceeded expectations. I mean, it was clear that he had some talent, but I don't think anyone expected him to finish in the top 10 of the hardest GT in the past years in his second season as a pro.

Sorry, but i don't know why some people here try to close debate and say let's wait for the results, If you wait for a true result things are settled ==>no debate and no fun of sport
Anyway now i'm speaking to an idiot who make me an idiot, sorry but I don't defend De Gendt and I don't hate Gesink but the things are there, I think De gendt is better than Gesink and I can be wrong but give some respect to people believes, it's not because I defend Froomey that I'm an idiot(that just one who I didn't appreciate his post, the Other Froome Hater or wathever discuss in respect so don't take it like an insult or something worse ) |

I mean just that the fun of sport is the debates, who will win and who will...
I mean if in a GT everybody knows who win and they are no chance of a surprise it will kind of boring |

You accuse everyone of doping, yet defend maybe the most suspicious one without reason.
And you do not understand the facts., and all yours are wrong, like saying De Gendt was 5th before Stelvio, that's why people don't have respect.

At this moment, the facts proove that you're right, as De Gendt finished in the Top 3 of a GT, whereas Gesink "only" managed to get a top 5 (and a 6th and 7th). But I believe Gesink has more potential than De Gendt, but only potential doesn't bring you good results.

So you haven't watch the Giro, the one race that could possibly prove that De Gendt is better than Gesink and you think that De Gendt is better than Gesink. Seems legit.

I watched him at The tour of Suisse with Schleck, in Paris-nice, and in Alpe d'huez in TDF

Not yet. This is just a discussion that suddenly occurred.
Seriously I don't see how De Gendt is better than Gesink. Both his climbing and TT abilities are worse.
Edit: According to the Belgian commentator De Gendt is scared to death if he has to ride in the peloton, that's why he likes to attack. He's very bad at positioning himself. He's much worse than Gesink.
Though with proper team support you don't have to worry about being good at positioning. Look at the Schlecks and Evans. They're not the best at riding in a peloton, but they have strong team support wich enables them to stay at the front.

I can't understand that you say Gesink is best than De Gendt in the Mountain, but in the TT De gendt is imcoparable to Gesink ,look last year in the TDF he do a better TT than Contador,Sanchez,Evens, and he got a top 5 I think(someone correct plz) |

In that case, he's obviously better at avoiding crashes. =D

He was fourth (officially third because of the removal of Contador's results) 1'22" behind Evans. |

Not the real result. As long as you're speaking of the Tour TT last year at least.
