So, that means I can raise one of my riders' potential from 2 to 3? That's real helpful. I think I'll just wait until the season planning starts.

TMM can raise it from 0 to 1, can't get much more helpful than that Pfft

I'm currently working out the ranking systems for the coming season, can I please get a feedback on these two options and tell me which one you prefer. That's only the ranking points for the final results of stage races for now.

The Rider
Definitely the second option, the larger difference between a GT and a WT stage race then a WT race and CT race is a must.

-- Got some nice stat improvements thanks to the packages. Hopefully we can get to season 2 before long.

Silvio Herklotz
I'd say the second one as well but the differences are too little if you ask me. TdF = 2.3 CT races? Sad

Bikex, do you remember the PM I send you too late before the last season? The CT and even more the U23 points should be lowered quite a lot. The WT are too high in comparison to the GT as well.

I totally agree to this, with these rankings the incentive to send you leaders to one week races instead of grand tours is to huge. I rather want to see a clash of the superstars at tdf than at tour of mount fuji.

Okay thanks for the input, the final rankings will then be based on the second option, but then the total ranking points of a team will be insanely high, that's why I also thought of the other option. Wink
On the CT/WT points ratio: I already adjusted that a bit the points for WT races is already higher but as you say I will change that even more now. How much points should a winner of a CT stage race in your opinion get?

Bikex
Another thing I'm thinking of is to split the CT races into 2 categories. To have some races in which only CT/U23 teams compete against each other. So maybe like a HC category in which each WT team can take part but maybe not U23 teams and another category in which only WT teams that are from the same region can take part.
What do you guys think about this?

Shonak
Definitely, CT/U23 and WT/CT sounds fun!

About the rankings: I find the difference of the second placed at a GT quite large (65 points compared to TdF 50 points)?

Obviously I would say that would be very welcome the ct/u23 thing! Not sure how things worked last year but it could get pretty frustrating for ct guys to never have chances to win ever due to PT raids though it will be great to mix sometimes.

I don't think a forced split is nessesary if the points at GT's and WT are increased to better reward sending your leaders to those level of races. I also don't particularly remember it being a problem last year of having too many big name riders taking all the CT races (then again my team won pretty much anything we entered so...)

Maybe you could use the CQ ranking scale as a reference.
https://www.cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/.../rules.asp
The difference from CT to WT is a little to small. WT to GT should have a bigger difference.

Probably a good idea. Looking at the database the continental tour teams are a bit weaker overall than last season. Mountain top stat is 77 for example, last season it was 79 iirc. WT teams in the CT races weren't a problem last season, but they could be this season.

The number at RD in the database is the amount of race days they have?
