Nice to see Phil Hoyle answering the questions properly, but still not revealing anything about the transfers.
That's always the most exciting part, so I guess we have to just wait and see. |

Very nice interview there, the story really has a great "background"-story going on.

National Championship
23rd - 29th June 2013
The end of June is the time for the National Championships, where we look to have a good showing in the races. Many races have been targeted, with the hope of come home with some medals or even a jersey.
British National Championships
23rd - 29th June 2013
With 8 British riders on the team, we come into the British Championships with a full squad available. However, with varying levels of fitness and form, there may be a limit to what some riders are able to do. Adam Yates will target the Road Race title, whilst Tom Southam will be our mandatory Time Trial entry.

Rasmus Quaade is our solo Dane in the team, so he will be the main man to bring it home for the team.

Roles in the French Championship will be split. Monier will target the Time Trial, whilst Remy will be aiming for a good Road Race.

Davide Villella is the team's only Italian, where his focus will be on the Road Race. A hilly Time Trial could also work in his favour as well.

Like Villella and Quaade, Linus will be on his own in Germany. With Tony Martin riding the Time Trial, and the Road Race set for a sprinter's finish, it will be tough for our German.

As the Estonian, Irish and Swedish are not playable on the game, I am going to flip a coin to decide the outcome of the races. If the result is heads, then either Mandri, Lavery and Ludvigsson will win the jersey. If tails, the jersey will remain with the current jersey wearer.
As all riders are poor Time-Trialist, this will only apply to Road Races only.

@baia: They are all secondary sponsors, so they should not have too much of a say on the Team's goals. We have been very good in Italy though, so no complains should be coming from them
@Faillu: Glad you like the interview. Honest answers, and it would be too risky to reveal too much
@Shonak: Thanks I like to have something other than just the racing for people to read

Some interesting NC's. Got the most chance in Germany I think. Should be able to get a gap before the downhill to the finish.
I doubt you'll have a chance anywhere else, but you never know how a race plays out. |

Danmarksmesterskabet (ITT)
23rd June 2013
Lars Ytting Bak (LTB) rolled back the years to take the victory in the Danish National Time Trial Championships. The Classics rider just took the win, ahead of Mads Christensen (TST) in second and Rasmus Quaade who picked up the Bronze for Rapha-Bianchi.
1 | Lars Ytting Bak | Lotto Belisol | 46'39 | 2 | Mads Christensen | Team Saxo - Tinkoff | + 3 | 3 | Rasmus Quaade | Rapha-Bianchi Racing Team | + 14 | 4 | Brian Vandborg | Cannondale Pro Cycling | + 21 | 5 | Jakob Fuglsang | Astana Pro Team | + 22 |

A late attack from Jesper Hansen (CUL) was enough to give him the victory in the Danish Road Race. Rasmus Quaade picked up another medal for Rapha-Bianchi, ahead of Morten Hoberg (CWO). The post race results baffled everyone, as all but the day's break of 4 riders finished outside the time limit.

Championnat de France (ITT)
24th June 2013
Sylvain Chavanel (OPQ) successfully defended his Time Trial crown, comfortably winning in Western France. Jeremy Roy (FDJ) was the closest to him in second, with Tony Gallopin (RLT) putting in a good ride to finish 3rd. Disappointing day for Rapha-Bianchi, as Damien Monier suffered in the saddle, finishing 51st.

Championnat de France
26th June 2013
Chavanel proved that he is a man in form, as his late attack was enough to hold off the sprinters in the Road Race. Defending champion Nacer Bouhanni (FDJ) won the bunch sprint for 2nd place, ahead of Bryan Coquard (EUC). Monier and Di Gregorio failed to perform and finished way down the standings in 60th and 70th respectively.

Campionato di Italia (ITT)
24th June 2013
Vincenzo Nibali (AST) will wear the Tricolore in the Time Trials, after an outstanding ride to take the win. Using the mountainous parcours to his advantage, he descended like a stone, to take the win ahead of Marco Pinotti (BMC) and Diego Ulissi (LAM). With the road race more to his liking, Villella rode a gentle ITT, finishing in 49th.
1 | Vincenzo Nibali | Astana Pro Team | 56'14 | 2 | Marco Pinotti | BMC Racing Team | + 21 | 3 | Diego Ulissi | Lampre - Merida | + 58 | 4 | Dario Cataldo | Sky Procycling | + 59 | 5 | Fabio Aru | Astana Pro Team | + 1'04 |
Campionato di Italia
26th June 2013
Enrico Battaglin (BAR) was the best of the strongmen, as his late attack was enough to take the spoils in the Road Race. ITT Champion Vincenzo Nibali finished second, ahead of Ulissi who picks up another bronze medal. Davide put in a fantastic ride, forcing the favourites onto the back foot in the latter stage, and comes away with 5th.
1 | Enrico Battaglin | Bardiani Valvole - CSF Inox | 5h28'28 | 2 | Vincenzo Nibali | Astana Pro Team | + 1'18 | 3 | Diego Ulissi | Lampre - Merida | s.t. | 4 | Marco Pinotti | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 5 | Davide Villella | Rapha-Bianchi Racing Team | s.t. |

Deutsche Meisterschaft (ITT)
24th June 2013
World ITT Champion Tony Martin took the victory in Germany, but the back pages were more fascinated by a great ITT ride from Linus Gerdemann, who used all his experience to take home the silver medal. Andreas Kloden (RLT) just beat teammate Jen Voigt to the Bronze.
1 | Tony Martin | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step Cycling Team | 34'07 | 2 | Linus Gerdemann | Rapha-Bianchi Racing Team | + 1'17 | 3 | Andreas Klöden | RadioShack - Leopard | + 1'18 | 4 | Jens Voigt | RadioShack - Leopard | s.t. | 5 | Christian Knees | Sky Procycling | + 1'20 |
Deutsche Meisterschaft
26th June 2013
Fabien Wegmann (GRS) defended his Road Race title in style, outsprinting Paul Martens (BEL) and Roger Kluge (TNE) from a large group of breakaway riders. On a day meant for the sprinters, a group of 11 riders, including Linus Gerdemann attacked on the final circuit of the race, caughting all the sprinter's teams off guard. Gerdemann would cross line 11th at the end.
1 | Fabian Wegmann | Garmin - Sharp | 5h23'13 | 2 | Paul Martens | Belkin Pro Cycling Team | s.t. | 3 | Roger Kluge | Team NetApp - Endura | s.t. | 4 | Danilo Hondo | RadioShack - Leopard | s.t. | 5 | Paul Voss | Team NetApp - Endura | s.t. |

A coin toss was done for the remaining riders in the team, and both Philip Lavery and Rene Mandri will be wearing their respective National Jerseys for the next 12 months, after the coin landed on 'Heads'.
Sadly for Ludviggson, the coin landed on 'Tails' for him, so the Swedish National Champion will be Edwin Wilson (TJM).
A full list of all the National Champions will be part of the monthly review after the Beaumont Trophy race.

Some good podiums, although the Danish RR one doesn't really count, with the small peleton bug.
Lavery and Mandri will be delighted with the coin toss. |

@sutty: it was only fair seeing as the game selected riders are without a team (Tombak and Hutchinson). I was honest with the coin toss as well
@mvh: I was well aware of the bug, so that's why I attacked. Peleton finished over an hour later...
