Contador can't sprint for toffee

Wondering if Henao can make his first win for Sky on the anniversary of their first train domincance Machado might be tough to beat though, if he times his attacks well that is.

So, all of you that said that Contador, Rodriguez and Schleck would 'set Froome straight', well, there you go. He beat 2 of 3. They all have the same goal, so are in similar form. I'm sorry, Froome can't just beat Rodriguez and Contador in a sprint.
Froome is given for 71 kg, Contador 62, and Purito 57.
From the images I quickly saw yesterday, they were already riding relatively fast before they started sprinting, so their sprinting performance wasn't influenced by the W/kg ratio (which must be quite similar for them - none is a sprinter, but they all climb on relatively equivalent levels these days), but the absolute power ratio, which rules speed more than acceleration.
Hence Froome wins.

I think it will be between those two and Rui Costa, though I think the Colombian might take the chekered flag in the end. For the overall I'm not so sure, I have hope this year it will go for a Portuguese... or Martin.
It's so bad we don't have a live transmission of Alto do Malhão stage today. I also think that Rui Costa has something to say racing in Portugal. Last year we had a super Sky with Boasson Hagen, Wiggins, Froome, Siutsou, Lofkvist, Nordhaug and the winner Richie Porte. If Tony Martin doesn't lose more than a minute it will be hard not to consider him the favorite with tomorrow time trial. Last year he got 57'' to Costa and 1'03 to Machado.
Last year Alto do Malhão finish, the start of a great season to Sky and an amazing exhibition by Richie Porte:
Just wanted to back up SN's disdain of the BBC websites pathetic cycling reports.
We have this following Froome's gutsy Tour of Oman triumph.
Froome's win was reminiscent of compatriot Bradley Wiggins's Paris-Nice victory in 2012
They have no clue whatsoever.
Tour of Oman has been absolutely brilliant - such a shame we didn't get better live coverage but really looking forward to the Tirreno and this years Tour de France after that.

How the hell is Spiderbot 71 kg?
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy
Still 4 more kg than either Schleck, for the exact same height.
I don't buy that weight. He can't weigh more than me.

Don't know how long ago it was updated by his profile on the Sky website says he is 69kg. Plus for a guy over 6ft I think that weight is reasonable without being too unhealthy. I read in an article somewhere its on average like an extra 5-7lbs per extra inch of height. With regards to Contador, he is a full 10cm shorted than Froome so your looking at an extra 4in so a minimum of 20lbs which is like 9kg.
Well, maybe heavy bones? I mean, everything matters in weight. Maybe he's got a real heavy piercing or something
Heavy bones and thick skin, that's what fat people say here.
I was also surprised by that weight, from what he looks like, I'd have said around 65 in form, and possibly around 67 or 68 these days. But I just quoted wikipedia, I've no idea of the "real" figures (same goes for Contador or Rodriguez, btw).
Sky website says 69kg. Measurements for team sites are taken in january or so, so let's say a peak racing weight of 67 or so. Sounds more believable.
Well, believable now that AICAR exists. 10 years ago you'd be laughed off the stage with that number.

How much did Armstrong and his closest competitors weigh during the 2003 Tour then?

Reda is the unlucky guy again. Pozzatto however showing strong form ahead of classics. Estaban Chaves broke collarbone in this year, sucks.
