@Ian: I think it is a contender for the best picture from another story
@Rogvi: We will have to see after the Pyrenees. 3 tough stages ahead, and then the flat stage to Montpellier before the 2nd rest day
The first stage in the Pyrenees has been played and will be up tomorrow morning. Best stage yet for HTC! Not a stage to be missed!!

14th July 2011 - Le Tour de France
(Cugnaux - Luz-Ardiden)
The Pyrenees have arrived and the Tour's focus turns to the GC Battle. After a flat start to the first two-thirds of the stage, route goes upwards very quickly, and crosses the infamous Col du Tormalet before the 15km climb to the finish in the ski resort of Luz-Ardiden.
My focus will be on the Intermediate Sprint at 119km, but with the big mountains after that, the main team focus will be on Tejay.
10km: Six riders attacked at the beginning of the stage, one of them including Philippe Gilbert, who was wanting to make up for a disappointing Tour de France so far.
22km: The presence of Gilbert was clearly too much of a threat, and the peleton brought it all back together. Almost immediately, it was time for Rémy Di Gregorio (Astana) to stretch his legs again on a stage.
36km: We were happy to let that him go, but as the break grew to 11, the peleton's pace was increased again. Amazingly though, HTC did not have to do any of the chasing. It was all down to Quick-Step.
56km: The peleton rolled along at a gentle pace, before Jurgen van den Broeck (OmegaPharma) and Nicolas Roche (AG2R) decided to head off on their own.
79km: Quick-Step again took full control, and aided by FDJ, they keep the breakaway within arms reach.
119km: The 2 man break took the major points at the Intermediate Sprint, but I went all out for 3rd. As a crossed the line, I looked to see where Boasson Hagen had placed... And I was all alone. None of the sprinters had challenged me! But the main question... Was I now in Green?
126km: As the mountains loomed ahead, we looked to take it to the GC men. Siutsou attacked, hoping to bridge across the 5'20" gap to the Roche/van den Broeck group.
138km: On the climb, Vincenzo Nibali (Liquigas) attacked as well, crossing the gap to Siutsou very quickly.
163km: The Nibali/Siutsou group finally caught up with the lead group on the road, but reaching the top, Siutsou was dropped.
198km: With 10km to go, only 27 riders remained in the peleton, and there was 1'56" between them and the 3 breakaway riders. It was going to be a tight finish in Luz-Ardiden.
203km: With 5km remaining, Nibali went for victory. He attacked hard, and left his companions behind. They had nothing in response.
205km: In the peleton, fireworks erupted, as first RodrÃguez (Katusha) and then Kreuziger (Astana) attacked the group. They would not get far though...
208km: At the finish, Nibali soloed to a great victory, and in the sprint for 2nd, Andy Schleck won the race ahead of Samuel Sánchez. Tejay finished 7th, as time gaps appeared in the GC group, causing a big shake up in the GC standings.

I'm happy but confused about being in Green. Why did no other sprinter, apart from Boonen, challenge at the Sprint point... Taking the green was a little easy :S
Great day for Tejay though. Up to 7th on GC and now in white. He is on target for his objectives as well

Amazing reports. And well done getting that points jersey.
However it's a shame that sprinters except you don't contest the intermediate sprints more often ( at all ). That's the big minus of PCM 11.

Francopell: WOOHOO GREEN
Alakagom: Thanks again for the kind words. So the lack of competition in the sprints is a PCM11 bug?
Rogvi: I know a stage win is needed! And with you all demanding one, I will feel like I've let you all down if I don't deliver one! Woop woop, my fifth banana

Next chance of a stage win is in 3 stages time, in Montpellier, before the rest day. There are 2 big Mountain stages before that, but Eisel is in place to help Cav over the mountains in full fitness
