A brilliant end to a not-so-well Vuelta a Pais Vasco
Thanks, I was really surprised to see him beating Martin.

Tomorrow is going to be Bob's day, I feel it.

Thanks, he was a beast.
Wanted to ask guys, that were the reports too fast today? I mean, were you be able to follow the stages? I'd be glad if you could give me a feedback about that. |

Thanks guys for the feedbacks, I don't think I can keep this speed up, but my next week looks free (school break), so I'll do as many reports as I can, and probably try to reach the Giro by a week. (Not sure, but will be trying to ) |

Thanks, it must be great for Teddy The Creator (Daisuke is his rider) , and I don't think Froome'd be too sad, if gets the leadership at the Tour. There is a fierce battle with Wiggins, so everything is possible. |

@miguel - Let's see, how he did.
Favorites:
*** Boonen, Cancellara, Pye
** Flecha, Hushovd, Ballan
* Pozzato, Sagan, Boom
Our squad in this race built entirely around "The Unstopable", who will try to win his first Paris - Roubaix. He'll have some great competitors, but his helpers are also top class. Bobson, Noble, Pal and Van der Valde. Big names in the cycling world. Let's see if they have what it takes!
This years Paris - Roubaix is 250kms long and has 24 (!) shorter/longer cobbled sections. It'll be inredibly tough, and to make things even harder, it will be raining in the first half of the race.
The race started quite slowly, the teams didn't want to tire themselves during the early parts. Because of the slow pace, a big break came together, with the biggest names being Sep Vanmarcke and Joost Posthuma.
In the peloton the pace was pretty slow, even though Sky, Rabobank and OPQS had some domestiques at the front. The break quickly built up a lead of 4 minutes.
The peloton reached the first cobbles sections 4:30 down on the break, where Vanmarcke shaked off the others and went solo. He increased the gap even more, and as this happened, the peloton woke up, and got a minute back from Vanmarcke's lead. With 50kms to go, he had 3:20, when...
...Cancellara decided to go solo, and attacked out of the pack! Nobody knew what to do, and nobody chased him, so he got a lead of a minute.
As there were nobody chasing, Boonen decided to go after him, and try to chase him down! In the favorites group BMC was pacing, and the Spiders were down to 2, with only Van der Valde and Pye being present in the leading group!
With 20kms to go everything got a bit closer, but the swissman was still in the lead and Boonen followed half a minute behind. The elite group followed Cancellara 45', and were just about to catch Boonen. This happened at 15km, when...
...italian Alessandro Ballan went past Boonen, and started the chase of Cancellara. After him a 3 men group came, Flecha, Boonen and Pye.
After a km or two, it was clear that Ballan won't catch Cancellara, instead, he got caught by the 3 men group.
Cancellara reached the arena, and had a lot of time to celebrate his fantastic 50km solo ride. He was certainly the strongest today, so he deserved his win maximally.
Here he is crossing the line in the Roubaix arena! He wins the Hell of the North again, after 2009! But who will be the 2nd?
It's the old spaniard Flecha, who outsprints Pye and Boonen! What a great finish to the old workhorse! Boonen even gets outsprinted by Pye, and only takes the 4th. That must be a big dissapointment to him.

I'm really sorry for it Miguel, I screwed up his race, there were some really bad blockings. He was empty! at the finish.

Thanks, but Cancellara was just simply in his own league.
I can't wait to direct Wiles, Puskaric as they're my biggest (along with Jakab) GC-contenders. It'll be great to see them at "work". |
