Brilliant results so far. Hopefuly Purito won't be strong enough to hold the lead and give Eric the chance to shine once again. |

Nice to see your riders having their ups & downs, instead of winning all the time |

Tirreno - Adriatico - Stage 7
Today was D-Day for me. It didn't really hit me until this morning: but I can actually win a ProTour stage race here today. A 22 year old, winning in Tirreno - Adriatico, imagine that?
The profile was flat, which was good for me. I can ride time trials well, while Rodriguez would've preferred a hilly time trial.
De Gendt continues to disappoint and he won't even end in top 10 here today. Maybe he's aiming all his arrows on TDF later this season.
Then I was off, I had 9.4km to reach out and get 30 seconds on my biggest opponent.
I lost 19 seconds on Boasson Hagen. That was a pretty good time, a second better than De Gendt.
Then it was up to . Luckily I didn't have to wait long, but it seemed like an eternity...
He comes in at 53 seconds behind Boasson Hagen. Math isn't my strongest skill, but wait a minute... 53-19... Doesn't that equal 34 seconds?
I DID IT! Glory is to be mine! At 22 years, I win Tirreno - Adriatico, in front of Rodriguez and Anton!

This is too much. This is the greatest victory in my career yet. The team is real happy about it, too, and why shouldn't they be? I just won them a lot of money, publicity, UCI points and my contract goes to 2015, they have a lot of reasons to be happy!
Now it's a matter of taking care of business, the management says. They'll have to find a place for me in the team, maybe as a co-leader in some races. The schedule for this season won't change, but I might get another shot at the Giro next year. Although all of this is great, I'm just happy about today, and I can't wait to see what else I can pull off!
I'm going on a little break now and I'll be back to assist Jelle in the classics, Stijn will start the cobbled season soon, so let's hope he does well! This year could just be the breakthrough year of the both of us! |

Thanks everyone for the comments, you're the ones that keep me going!
I, too, enjoy riders with ups and downs, like in real life.
Funny enough, now's the biggest up and the biggest down for them simultaneously Eric is way up, Stijn is way down. Let's hope they both get back to normal |

It's been a while since you heard anything from me. After Paris - Nice I was a bit down, both in spirit and in form. I've been training really hard since then and I think I'm ready for a brand new start, tomorrow in Dwars door Vlaanderen. In Milan - San Remo, Mark Cavendish has prolonged his victory for another year. World Champion Greipel came close to the win but Cavendish kept on going. Mark Renshaw ended on a 16th place.
See you tomorrow, for Dwars door Vlaanderen! |

I won't show Avin, though it wasn't to insult Sagan, I like him actually, but he was a tiny bit cocky at the start of TDF
Thank you all for following, the Giro's getting closer
Ha, now i see it, you cant hide before my fanboy eyes.
But you said you like him, so i am in cool mode again
As you can see, i am only on the page 6 of your story, shame on me, because the story is absolute legend, but i dont have so much time for Daily at work in these days. But i am tuning up for Giro, which i want read quickly (but with detail), so no spoilers for me here

@JuanMotr & sutty68: I can't thank the both of you enough for those countless comments on this story! So I won't try it
@Schleck96: Thanks, it wasn't easy (Rodriguez was really killing me in the final stage, excluding the TT)
@Avin: I was afraid you'd find out once but like I said, I like Sagan, I think he's grown a lot in TDF, personality-wise. I hope you enjoy the Giro I'm glad you're taking the time to catch up on this story! |

Congrats Ian and Eric. That's an impressive field to come out on top of, and at a very difficult race. Keep it up! |

Dwars Door Vlaanderen
We were a bit surprised to see the list of participants today. Our strongest contestants were Turgot, Hoste and Offredo. Hardly the level of last year, where we had Boonen, Nuyens, Boom...
Roelandts knew I had a bad start this season and told me I could go for the win today. Seeing how a win here is realistic, with the strong team we brought, I was glad he offered me the lead for today. He's in good shape anyway for the classics.
Today we were in Oudenaarde, again.
Ian Stannard layed down the pace, what a rider! The wind was our biggest ally today.
Nearing the end, Hoste and Turgot decided to go!
I joined them and brought Offredo and Pichot with me.
Well, I couldn't go to the finish with two riders of Team Europcar. So, with all due respect for these riders, but the aren't what I'm up against in the coming classics, I had to be able to get rid of them, if I couldn't do that, what would I be doing against Cancellara and Boonen? Like I said, the wind was my biggest ally, I gave full gas!
They struggled to keep up and whenever they got in my wheel again, I went to the other side of the road and went full gas again.
I'd tired them out enough, and I was practically presented with the win. I'm very glad, it'll do much good to my confidence. But I also realize that today was nothing compared to what's coming.
