I like Froome. I just find him a little suspicious (less so than his teammates actually though.) but sorry Alakagom

Oh but I never said anything bad about his personality
My belief is that the necessity of doping to get results means personality doesn't enter much into it, and as a result you can be a very nice friendly guy who is honest in most things and still dopes.
For example, Valverde is an obvious doper and has been his whole career, but that doesn't change the fact that he's about the nicest guy in the pro peloton. Moncoutié is almost certainly clean, but he's not someone I'd like to know in person!
And so on...

It's just a feeling I get. I obviously don't know him in person, but he strikes me from his behaviour as being dumber than a brick and not exactly friendly
Again, I don't know him in person so this is just an impression that might be completely wrong.

Looks like we'll have the most boring TdF since the Dopestrong era. Only excitement is if wheelsucker #1 can gain the minute he needs on wheelsucker #2 to stay clear on the ITTs
I'll take Contadope vs CrybabySchleck any day. Bring on the Vuelta! |

I thought it was an exciting stage. Maybe mostly cause i was sure it would be a very boring first mountain stage where noone wants to loose time nor gamble to win time. That is what we usually get in the tour.
But Sky riding so well as a team put some spice to the stage. Some other riders disappointed and some impressed as well. Usually if someone drops they get two or three chances to come back during the stalemates we often see at these stages where noone wants to be in front. But since we had a strong team up front with riders who were willing to sacrifice themself that meant the pace stayed high.
I am looking forward to tomorrows stage now. Hopefully we get a nice breakaway and then it will be interesting to see if sky can have another impressive day or if any of the people who lost a bit of time yesterday will make an attempt to get some time back. it might be to early for a comeback stage but i hope someone will try something. |

Oh, fair enough. I though there could be some story about him that I had missed.

some people might be interested in some power data from todays climb jani brajkovic posted his on twitter https://www.trainingpeaks.com/av/IVQUZ...JZH55EVNZU
I know he wasn't right at the front but the numbers don't look that crazy to me given how short the climb was |

Wiggins was talking about 480watts.
Completely insane numbers.

I know. I remember you from several years ago when you were rabidly defending Astana and Rasmussen to the death arguing they couldn't possibly be doping You never forgave me even when they were all eventually caught
Fun memories

People do like to exaggerate though, I would be surprised if that figure is true, would have expected bigger time gaps back to Brajkovic given his figures if that was the case. (although cant be bothered to do the calcs now to see if i am talking out my arse or not )

Nah, as i remembered it, we were arguing mostly about Armstrong and Le Mond
But my strongest point in this discussions about doping have always been the double standards in cycling about who to go after in doping cases. Of course i am now(a few years older and wiser) well aware of the doping that has been going on for years
But that still doesnt change my opinion that you are a huge "mister know it all" when it comes to doping related subjects and other things in cycling.
I can imagine you have laughed quite alot today about the members here who think Froomey and Wiggo are riding clean. |

Don't remember that. Must've been later.

"know-it-all" has hyphens.
(That's my jokey way of agreeing with you )

Well, guys like us have seen this kind of thing happen way too many times to still think there's any chance of an entire team all suddenly improving massively and it not being doping related.
I try to point them in what I feel is the right direction. You know how it is, if I give them fire they'll be warm for a day, but if set them on fire they'll be warm for the rest of their (very short) life

On a slightly related note, do you think Brailsford has organised a massive team corporation doping ala bruyneel, with all team members doing roughly the same thing, or do you think that he has picked only the GC guys to dope?
Because, as a proud norwegian, i find it quite hard to imagine Edvald Boassen Hagen doping. |

A bit of-topic but Isso.. Don't you kinda "kill" cycling by trying to point cycling fans in direction that their "hero" is doped?
