Glad Aru's horrible sickness and weight loss were fixed just in time for the first MTF...
After Hesjedal lost 5 minutes yesterday, I was pretty sure Garmin's GC stuff was over, and I was right. Formolo rode ok, but he'll steadily lose time, and Hesjedal climbed pretty well but is too far down now.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Hesjedal will probably get a stagewin and a top 10 still, though.

For me, the first four Giro-stages have been better than the last 4 Tour de Frances combined.
This
Giro is just so much better, almost every year again!
I'd say that over the last few years, the Vuelta aswell has been far more enjoyable than the Tour. I didn't think we would be seeing this much action when I saw the initial route. I figured it might end up like the last time we got a really have Giro (Vuelta?) where they made the race too hard, meaning no one wanted to spend any energy until the last few days.
Congrats..you are matured cycling fans now. Giro is best GT of the year..always have been. Only rookies or americans (no offence) did not understand that.

He may be doped to the moon but so are the rest of them.
I love the way he rides so I root for him. That has pretty much always been my thoughts, honestly I dont care who is on what, if they ride like they want to win and make the race exciting to watch I usually root for them.
If they dont make the race exciting because they know they are doped more than others then I dont like them.
Aru is exciting and always has been so I will most likely be rooting for his victory though of course Alberto always makes the race exciting, just like today. Its Porte and Uran who never do anything to entertain and thus who I dont care to watch.

What makes American cycling fans any less knowledgeable than European cycling fans?
I am pretty sure it doesnt matter what country someone is from if they follow the sport.
You think you know more about cycling because some channel you pay for shows the sport more often than in the states?

It does.
For americans there is TdF and then Amgen (California tour)..they even moved that last one from perfect march to Giro may.
Some how PR has done that damage.
Ok Giro has better racing mainly because of the geographical reasons it's easier to make a fun parcours. But if I was a pro rider, give me a Tour stage win over Vuelta and Giro any day of the week. Tour is something special which is why it's my favourite GT.
Cipo accused Contador of bike doping once again. He did have another bike change before yesterdays final climb.
First accusations against Contador using a doped bike begin couple years ago on the Double Alpe d'Huez stage when he aborted his downhill attack to change bikes after a mid-race announcement that said there would be a controle of the bikes at the finish.

If you are italian..then I am not shure that you prefer TdF stage win for Giro.
I also like riders who respect a Giro on riding that great race as main GT..like Contador. And not just think about TdF..rest of the season does not count. ..Froome.
Let's hope Quintana will beat him

Yeah it is rubbish and its just Cipo being Cipo but it is odd that Contador swaps his bike out so often before a climb, can't just be mechanicals unless his mechanic is completely hopeless. Wonder why he does it

Could be gearing, tire pressure in the front and rear tires, and maybe some other marginal gain related hypothesis. Gearing makes the most sense, but Eurosport were talking about tire pressure earlier as well.
Something to look in to and see if there are any studies about it me thinks...
