Great report Marcodw. Detailed, with nice photos and good comments .
Accent Jobs was a shame on this race. Our best rider on 38th position, way too far from the TOP 10 needed for our counter goal. A disappointment for the manager and for all the Belgian cycling fans. With so many chances for breakaway no one of our riders managed to join one. The only good thing is that all the riders for Accent Jobs finished the race, although, seeing the results we are not sure that they really raced.

I'm still hoping Neillster is on holiday and will return shortly. We're not in a rush
Next up is Qatar, while Oman (jaxika), Algarve (Nacho) and Langkawi (might need a sub for Neillster) startlists will go out later this week.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Ermm.... No Qatar today, and the reason is a bit odd... The light in my room is broken, and without it i can't see my keyboard that well, let alone any notes i write down. So i can't really make a decent report. As such you're gonna have to wait until tomorrow... sorry

2nd of all, I really do apologise for not being able to report on Stage 2 for so long. I've been absolutely slammed in work over this past week and there was no way I could have seen it coming.
And a public apology to Ollfardh for being so late with my lists and with my bad reporting.
Anyway, best be getting on with this.
And so we come to Stage 2 of the Tour de San Luis. Yesterday provided us with a big surprise as the Russian Porsev of Katusha beat the highly tipped Sagan to victory. Let's see if the Slovakian machine will be able to recover from licking his wounds today.
And the profile of today's stage from Tilisarao to Terrazas del Portezeuelo may suit him even better than yesterday with a gentle rise in the final few km's. Let's see how this goes.
174km: And they're off! It really doesn't take long for Champion Systems F Schnaidt to attack. He's quickly joined by 5 riders including 4th placed J. Keough, and therefore dooming the original break to failure as there's no way that the peleton let him get away.
142km: and so we have finally established our break of the day, with Schnaidt still here along with Netapp's C. Benedetti for a second day running and A. Gerard from Bretagne.
125km: And as we reach the 1st Categorized climb of the day, Gerard[b] burns himself out too early and makes it easy for [b]Schnaidt to take the points. Gerard takes 2,d and Benedetti isn't interested. The gap back is just over 5 minutes.
110km: Katusha are firmly in control at the front of the peleton, and are already starting to close the gap, even though it's just around 7'30''. Should be easy for them.
110km: And by the time we get to the 2nd Categorized climb, the break is already back down to 5'00''. Again it's Schnaidt who takes top honours followed this time by the Italian and then the French man.
And so we go on, and the break definitely looks like it's done for. Yet, at least for Schnaidt he'll have the Mountains jersey at the end of the day.
30km: Sure enough, as we get close to the finish line, the break only has 1'30'' to the chasing pack, and so Gerard trys to take matters into his own hands and attacks! Surely a sign of desperation.
24km: And the pack splits! The pack breaks apart on the final incline! Most all of the favourites are in the front, though Gesink, Hintermuller, Weening and Basso are all caught out as 13 riders get away.
18km: As we go through the Intermediate Sprint Gerard is still out in front, with Schnaidt following at 30'' and Benedetti at 1'. The split is holding steady at 1'30''
15km: What's going on out there!?! All the favourites are looking at each other! The break is going to get this! Oh my word, this is ridiculous! The conpetition behind has just completely stopped, even the peleton further back has slowed up!
And so the break makes it right in to the finish! Inexplicably Gerard is able to build his gap right back up again! He wins the stage by a full minute on the German, who by the way is the new overall leader by a full 5'32'' on Porsev!
He certainly got a good deal more than he bargained for! That was an utter disgrace from the chasers! They put together the resemblance of a sprint finish for 4th, which Sagan wins ahead of Porsev, but they're a full 6'38'' behind! Extremely disappointing!
And so it's Champion Systems Schnaidt who pulls on the leaders jersey and has a substantial lead now. Let's see if any of the favourites will be able to regain that time over the rest of the race?

What was Belkin doing there? Not even trying to chase? At least Po-ding is still in the race..

Strange stage... Not got any GC ambitions in the race though so it doesn't really affect me.
