Tour de France
Week 1 The Tour de France's route this year is a repeat of 2011's. The first stage was a 1-2 for Omega; as Kwiatkowski finished first ahead of Cavendish. Omega took the first 9 spots in stage two, winning the TTT, yellow was passed to Cavendish. Thomas Voeckler shocked the sprinters on stage three, taking a solo win 1 06 ahead of Kittel. Stage 4 saw the first test, and Daniel Moreno took the win atop the Mur de Bretange. Cavendish is dropped, and Kwiat is back in yellow. The next three days were bunch sprints, with Marcel Kittel taking stage 5, and Cavendish taking stages 6 and 7.
Week 2 Geraint Thomas opened the second week with a stage win ahead of Tanel Kangert, who moved into yellow. However, the Estonian cracked the next day, losing a minute and yellow to stage winner Kwiatkowski . After two bunch sprints both won by Marcel Kittel , the peloton hit the Pyrenees. The summit finish was won by Rui Costa , and Kwiat's GC lead was down to 15 seconds over Contador. The 13th stage was highlighted by Nairo Quintana crashing out of the Tour. Kwiatkowski cracked under the pressure of yellow during stage 14, losing 9 minutes to new leader Tanel Kangert. The stage was won by Robert Gesink .

Contador takes over yellow by 8 seconds over Kangert. Stage 17 saw yellow change hands again, as Kangert takes the stage and now leads Contador by 32 seconds heading into the Alps. Contador showed that he is the strongest this year, taking a minute out of Kangert en route to taking the stage. The Spaniard wasn't done attacking, as Contador took back-to-back stage wins on the Galibier and Alpe D'Huez. The gap was 43 seconds heading into the final time trial. Full Startlist
Thomas will lead the team here, I will chase a stage.
[img-r]https://imageshack.com/a/img812/2163/62hx.jpg[/img-r]
The Tour of Poland starts with a 52 km time trial. I'm not going for GC, so I will take it easy today.
Jasha Suterlin set the best early time at 1 14 39. This was good for ninth place on the stage.
Belgian Champion Julian Vermote was the first to best the German. He finished at 1 14 28, good for a top 5 placing.
Dave Zabriskie of Oakley rode his best tt in years, riding the 52 km course in 1 14 09.
Our leader Geraint Thomas flew today, finishing with a great time of 1 13 15.
It sure is great to be back on the bike! As I set off, Thomas still had the bets time.
I didn't do anything special today, as I'm not in good form yet. I finished with a 1 15 44, good for 28th on the day.
The last rider that could threaten Thomas was Spanish Champion LL Sanchez. However, he didn't have a good ride, finishing in 15th 1 30 down on stage winner Geraint Thomas!

I am sorry to announce that this story will come to an end. I just don't have the motivation to play as Ian anymore. He developed a lot quicker than I wanted him to. His stats at the start of Poland were 80 MO, 78 HL, 76 REC, 75 TT, 74 ACC, and 70 SP. I would like to thank all the people who kept me motivated to do this story for a few months. I have been playing with new ideas over the past few days, and I will leave a link to my new story in this post once I create the thread.

It was a great story, welker. Really unfortunate but when there's no motivation left than there's no reason to force it. I hope you will find the joy of PCM-writing again in the next story you want to take on.
