Is Pinotti in form?
If not, maybe first possibility for Nerz (who has some kind of form) to have a free role in GC. Would be interesting
(I just assume PCS startlist is correct ) |

What sprinters are going to do well now... Coz Renshaw is also out from illness! I think maybe Boasson Hagen will do well and maybe a Leigh Howard and a Michael Matthews depending who OGE put as their lead man |

Im taking Theo Bos as a sleeper. Watch out!
I think Tyler Farrar is abit overrated only the one stage win this year. |

Bos for the really flat stages and EBH/Meersman for those with a few climbs.

I wouldn't discount Farrar or Schorn either, possibly even Arndt.
Farrar probably wont be too consistent though, nor will Schorn.

Reason why i not included Farrar is that i saw some doubts here on the forum about his actual start in Spain. Arndt and schorn could do some top5/3s too, yeah.

I would also include Petit. He hasn't had a great season at all but against this field he should still be in the top 10 somewhere.

Exactly. Sinkeldam will probably lead the sprint for Argos, I don't think Arndt will...

I don't know, recently in Norway they were successfully going for Arndt, not for Sinkeldam. But maybe both will get their chances. |

Why Purito? Kreuziger was clearly suffering towards the end of the Tour, while Rodriguez only got better.
From what I earlier have seen from Purito, history did show him not doing well in two GT's close to each other. But last yer and this year he has been stronger than ever in the mountains. So I might be wrong, but something tells me he will crack one day in the mountains. |

Meanwhile Stybar sorted his thoughts and says he will go for stage win and helping teammates at Vuelta. He says he is not a climber a never will be, so going for GC would be hard.
He wants to concentrate on WC too.

Very wise move. The GC thing was just never going to pan out for someone like him.

I've looked through the stages and I don't Meersman has many chances on victory. Most flat/hilly stages are either not though enough to get rid of faster sprinters than Meersman (except for Bos maybe, if he really climbs that bad) or end in a Gilbert/Purito hill.
Stage 5 and 12 look the best opportunities for him.
