Too bad...
Do you a source to that claim or is it just your hate talking? |

Among many others : he once rode for "Team PFC", does that ring a bell ? Or didn't you follow cycling at that time ? |

Cyclists are really the most unlucky creatures on earth. Most of them take only doping once, and just then they get tested.
Only Voigt seems to able to escape positive tests in a 17-18 (?) years long career. Allthough I think that one day Voigt will announce as well that he took EPO once, so he could surive ad that he was forced by the culture and the whole blablabla. |

In O'Grady's case it makes sense: He's a ginger. He tries to hide it but we all know they don't have souls.

Tinkov is out!
Riis cycling announce that negotioations with Oleg Tinkov has stopped and they will be looking for a new sponsor.
Wonder if they'll be able to find someone willing to put in the needed money, but Riis and Tinkov always was an odd mix, so it makes sense (as much as anything involving Oleg Tinkov does...)

Not surprising after reading Tinkov's tweets.
It's easy to understand him. I wouldn't want to pay a ton of cash to a team built around a guy who is a shadow of his former self. Riis needs to realise that, drop Contador and find a better captain.

Wonder what's going to happen now. Riis, don't be stupid. |

He already have one better than 2013 Contador in his team.

No chance. He signed til 2015, and with a massive wage I'm sure. Riis will be stuck with him (and his court) for another 2 seasons.

I have to say I'm glad he wasn't mentioned.

Nah, it's going to take a couple years for Majka to really come through

That was a good one.
But i suppose AGRwin was not the thing that forced Tinkov to leave.

Abraham Olano said that he was “surprised by being on a list of names when I have not tested positive. I don't understand how it can go now. They have to prove it.”
"I was always under the control and custody of the team and its medical service. I absolutely do not consider myself guilty. I never had the feeling that I was doing anything illegal," said Olano, who is currently technical director of the Vuelta a Espana.
Loled at this. The guy has no sense of what reality is.
On the other hand Cookson's words spread some hope for the future:
While today might be difficult for the individuals involved and for their friends and families, anything which shines a light on the dopers and those who enabled widespread doping is to be welcomed.

I'm on my mobile and too lazy to get links here, but i've read this in several (german) articles about the newest tests there. But as i hate Voigte, yes, it's also "my hate talking" anyway, you don't need a source to say that he has somehow managed to not being caught.

But i suppose AGRwin was not the thing that forced Tinkov to leave.
As much as I like Tinkov, his comments about Contador not "preparing professionally" and the rumours surrounding Tinkoff Credit Systems Team (coupled with their exceptional performances in '07 and following mediocrity) I (also) seriously doubt he'll be leaving due to Kreuziger's resurrection.
His win at all costs mentality feels like a step backwards in my books.
Tinkov great for the sport? I'm not so sure myself. |

Did you read The Secret Race? Remember the part about Tyler's very first interview with Tinkov?

to the surprise of no-one here, O'Grady's positive is released to the AUS masses
https://wwos.ninem...id=8695096
also, come on, that Tour was tainted anyway (*cough*Festina*cough*)
but where do we draw the line and move on, you can't keep pulling up the past in order to enhance the image of cycling

Unfortunately I haven't yet. Not sure I will. Again it smacks of illogical behaviour to reward Tyler's misdeeds by giving him money for his book.
You can generally just read between the lines when you just look at rider's fluctuations in performances.
Also, Wegelius' book looks like it'll be next on my list. |
