@juszta – Thabo was really helping a lot until he dropped.
@SSJ2Luigi –
@Ollfardh –
@sutty – Indeed, hopefully he'll get it soon.
@Marcovdw, Selwink – Thanks guys!
@the_hoyle – Thanks for the comment!
Hopefully we can wrap up the disastrous Catalunya race today, then we can finally move on with other races. |

Not a good race for the team, but at least a top 10 on stage 6. |

Gent - Wevelgem is usually an easier race, compared to the E3 or the monuments coming up. It doesn't have as many cobbled sections, so a mass sprint is more likely to finish with. In order to have a weapon if it comes down to that, we decided to add Wesley Hoogenboom to our line-up, he'll provide the needed kick for sure. He is also decent over the cobblestones, so he'll try to make it all the way to the finish. As for the others, we have our specialist the strong Mike Pye, who is still the outright leader for us. Helpers we have too, TJ Sithembile, Bob Bobson and Nick Van der Valde will all provide support to the leaders, but they can also ride for themselves, trying to get some results/TV time. The other 3 riders are mostly water-carriers, Bakker, Oget and De Vries most likely will take it easy after their work is done. That's all for now, hope it'll go as planned!
Well, I forgot to take a picture of it (shame on me), but the favorites are the usual suspects.
Cancellara, Boonen, Pye and Vanmarcke.
Sorry for all these delays and slow progress, hope the story is still enjoyable for you! I love making these, it just time not playing into my hands though. Anyway, see you in the race! |

Thanks for the comments guys, Luigi he is here for some experience.
Rough ride it'll be, hope that one of our leaders will be right up there in the end!
As early as possible a two-men group attacked and got away. Downing and Ferrari weren't too concerning to the pack, so they built uo a huge lead in a hurry and got plenty of TV-time.
The pace wasn't high at all in the peloton, however there were many teams happy to work and chase. The BotD still had a huge lead, but it didn't last long after all.
Taylor Phinney attacked with Matteo Tossatto and an Accent - Jobs rider (Scheirklincx maybe?). The trio got a lead of around 30 seconds with around 60k to go.
Splits happened right away on the hills, but all the favourites are together and looking at each other as the pace ups significantly. Around 40 riders in the bunch still.
Tom Boonen cracks! The belgian champion drops out at the back along with the World Champion (Gilbert came back later though)! Huge surprise, as there are still 40kms to go.
A select group is establishing itself at the front, we have VdV, Hoogenboom and Pye up there. Europcar is doing all the work, it seems like Damien Gaudin is feeling good.
Spartacus goes, what a speed burst! Sylvain Chavanel wants to catch up to him, but he has no chance! The gap is already over 30 seconds.
He is still at the front ahead of Chavanel, while the main group comes a little behind them chasing hard. It's pretty much over by now, he has a lead of around 45 seconds on the pack.
Game over, Fabian Cancellara wins Gent - Wevelgem! Great solo by the swiss rider, beating Chavanel and Turgot, who came 2nd and 3rd respectively. We had a quite decent race with a 6th and a 9th, thanks to Pye and Hoogenboom.
Nick Van der Valde - Lot of work done all the way

Hey guys,
My family and I will have plenty of journeys in the next 2 weeks, first of all we'll visit Slovenia and Krakow. That means, that the story is going to stall a little bit and then I'll come back with full strength resuming the racing and everything. While I'm gone, I'd be glad to have you on board to write a Spider Weekly! It'd be great to have your feedback on what has happened so far with your riders and such, just like in the former SpiderTech story of mine. If you don't know what I mean, just look it up in the previous story.
No deadline, you have plenty of time and I'd be really happy to see some works from you!
PM me your pieces!

Considering this is the one of the four which least suits me, I've got to say i'm pleased with 6th place! Hopefully as the racing gets harder my condition will improve and I'll be able to push for a win at the end of next week!

Oh, I missed some episodes on this on my holiday, it seems.
Since I'm leaving soon, and only discovered that this continued now, I'm not sure if I can get a part in for Spider Weekly. Will try my best
(Though I had a lot of time today & yesterday, if only I saw this earlier )

So, it's over. I don't have the motivation for that one anymore, as I just feel like this one was fun for the first time and no more. I hanged onto that one for way too long and I feel like that it just became boring. Sorry guys.
This was my last try with this setup, my last try with your-rider stories. This was a really special thing for me, I loved making these.
Thanks list:
Everyone that contributed with a rider/comments!
Special thanks to my old friend () fcancellara, for all those amazing graphics
TMM and Ian Butler, for keeping me motivated in my first try!
the_hoyle for following for long without having a rider and providing so much support!
Jesleyh for all the wonderful writings!
sutty for being sutty
baggieboys for the many great successes we achieved together (kind of)
Miguel for one of my favourite riders (Nick)
SSJ2 got to actually race too!
mvhoogdalem who was also motivating a lot
Ollfardh,Selwink,juszta and all of you I left out!
Thanks for participation and everything!
Will be back soon when the Exp Pack is out, I hope I'll see you there. |
