Why not? All professional cyclists are skinny. Even beasts like Boonen or Greipel might seem a bit more strongly built on tv, but when you see them in real live they're skinny as hell. |

It doesn't quite look like Thor, personally.
Also I get the impression Sagan isn't that skinny.

The middle week is absolutely shocking looking at it all.
Although I am sure I would enjoy Froome destroying all ( really can't see other scenario than that ), I doubt I'll be watching much of this Tour. Rather spent time better.

He doesn't look quite as skinny when you don't cut off his legs (he's still skinny though).

Doesn't look that bad. 4 MTF's, 3 of them after some good climbing on the way plus the Ventoux. 2 finishes after a downhill where we should see attacks aswell (plus maybe the third stage aswell?). Only the 2nd Pyrenees stage is stupid with the long descent.
Could be worse. Think 2009 or 2012.
I count 7x Cavendish and three or four more for Sagan.

@TMM :
Maybe I should clarify what I mean with endurance. Actually I don't mean anything else than what it is : endurance characterizes the performance decrease per unit of time.
So yes, in road cycling, for every aspect besides 1 minute efforts (which is more or less the longest that can be characterized as fully explosive), endurance is at work.
I agree that nobody needs dull routes, so the Dutch Sprint classic or whatever it's named would have my blessing to have an extra loop that'd include cobbles or hills.
Each to his own after all, but I'll always rank a victory in a mountain queen stage (with many mountain pass) higher than a pancake flat one with a Spanish wall at the end, no matter how steep the wall. Same for Monuments against random classics.
The main difference is that endurance is a bigger factor on that type of stage or race.
If you want less control by sprinters or more chances for them to mess up, you should militate for smaller teams rather than shorter stages. Shorter stages mean more energy for every one come money time, but the odds of a late attacker against a peloton are even diminished (the fastest the race, the biggest the peloton advantage, thanks or because of more drags).

I agree, middle stages looks really boring, i hope it will be higlighted with some crazy attacking and i am looking forward already to Cav-Sagan battle for the jersey, because Cav will have more points thanks to wins and Peter will have to try some crazy stage-long attacks to beat that.
Last week looks great (Kreuziger was recognizing the terrain with alberto and few others and said it is insanely tough last week) and some stages at Corsica too, but middle is dull.

NetApp-Endura is sending their strongest lineup to Dauphine and they want to show ASO they are worth the wildcards. König and Barta are the higlights of the team and they both dream about final top10, especially König can try something in the mountains.
Looking forward to it, i like this team a lot...
NetApp-Endura team for the Critérium du Dauphiné
Jan Barta, David de la Cruz, Bartosz Huzarski, Leopold König, Jose Mendes, Andreas Schillinger, Paul Voss, Alexander Wetterhall
